Experienced vocalist, producer/engineer and songwriter. Graduating from the NYU Clive Davis Institute Iz is a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, piano and bass) that has done work with JAŸ-Z, Alicia Keys, Wayne Brady, and more. He also has an extensive artist career with millions of streams across Spotify and YouTube.
I specialize in Hip Hop, RnB, Pop and Afrobeats/Dance.
Vocally, I have a four octave vocal range and a smooth but raw and soulful singing tone similar to Chris Brown, Ty Dolla $ign, Tory Lanez and Leon Thomas. I am a skilled lyricist and songwriter for completing a top line or crafting entire songs. Additionally I can provide whatever supporting male vocals and harmonies you might need.
Production wise, I specialize in taking a persons vision and sonically bringing it to completion, serving as the creative vessel for their project. I play guitar, bass and piano, and produce in Logic Pro X, but have experience in Ableton and Pro-Tools as well. I can take a partially produced song and bring it to full completion, using the artist's initial vision as the blueprint. I can also completely reproduce a song if that's what the artist/client is looking for.
Ownership/publishing:
50% If I write the lyrics and melody of complete song, if there are 2 writers. 33.3% if there are 3 and so on.
^Same goes for production

Interview with Iz LaMarr
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: The biggest thing I promise is that I will not just give you the best quality piece of art in a timely fashion... but I will align the work seamlessly with your creative vision. Growing up in different parts of LA and New York, I am blessed with very strong empathy and creative perspective that opens me up to whatever vision is put in front of me. I will identify as clearly as possible what you want, and then use my musical and creative skillset to bring your vision into complete sonic form.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: The number one questions I ask is "what is your vision?". Even if the client only has a rough idea of what they want I can get the job done. However, when someone has a clear vision I easily become the perfect vessel to take their idea from just something in their head to a beautiful sonic and artist creation at the highest level.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: The musician that inspires me most is without a doubt Michael Jackson. Even as a child his music conveys some of the purest human emotion I've ever felt in a piece of art. From the live performance especially. Feeling that so vividly as a kid made me want to create that same feeling in others and put me on my path as a performer and musician at an early age.
