Hannah-Marie on SoundBetter

I’m a versatile singer-songwriter/Vocalist with a love for soul, jazz, R&B and experimental pop. I enjoy working across different genres and adapting my vocals, lyrics and melodies to suit the feeling of each project. I would also be happy to work on genres I don't typically do but have love for such as rock and dance music!

My name is Hannah-Marie, and I am a vocalist/singer-songwriter. Having just completed my degree in Songwriting at Leeds Conservatoire, I am looking to jump into any music work I can.I’m genre-flexible and write my music using a blend of everything that inspires me. This includes musicians such as Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald, more alternative artists like David Bowie, Queen and No Doubt, and modern artists such as Beyoncé and RAYE.

I am happy to provide lead vocals, backing vocals and harmonies, toplines, lyric writing, melody writing and vocal arrangements. I’m a massive lover of big, soulful vocals, but can also counteract that with smoother, softer vocals depending on what the track needs. I love doing harmonies and adding another layer to the song with them.I’m a very expressive vocalist and can capture emotion well through recordings. My writing tends to always have a story, strong meaning or concept. I’m super friendly, chatty and positive, but also very committed and focused. I am a very good listener, thoughtful, and will always want to make the best music I possibly can. I will always put my best foot forward with any project I work on and strive to make tracks feel unique and complete :) If you'd like to check out my singing head to my TikTok page @YAHMAJAMA !!!
