Greg Coulson is a UK-based singer-songwriter, keyboardist and producer, currently touring internationally as keyboardist with Morcheeba and formerly a member of Spiritualized. Over a career spanning hundreds of live performances, recording sessions and international tours, he has performed and recorded with artists including Burt Bacharach, The Blockheads, Tom Grennan and acclaimed British blues artist Will Wilde.

A specialist in soulful vocals and vintage keyboard instruments, Greg brings authenticity, feel and musical depth to every project. His playing draws from the rich traditions of soul, blues, funk, jazz and roots music, with influences including Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Bill Withers, Dr. John and Billy Preston.

Whether delivering expressive lead vocals, Hammond organ, Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Clavinet, piano or synthesizer parts, Greg focuses on performances that serve the song and elevate the production. Equally comfortable creating subtle textures, vintage character sounds or standout featured parts, he combines musical instinct with years of professional recording and touring experience.

I have been working with Greg for a number of years now and I genuinely wouldn’t want to collaborate with anyone else; Greg is an incredible musician with an incredible ability to guide a song emotional direction.

We work collaboratively, and Greg is amazing at suggesting fresh ideas for to make the music the best it can be. Similarly, Greg isn’t afraid to challenge an idea if he thinks it doesn’t work in the song.

Greg is an incredible musician and the best pianist and organ player I know. He can play pretty much anything in any style, has a great ear for production/arrangement, and he's a killer soloist too.
