Interview with Anders Media BE

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I’m especially proud of the projects where I was heavily involved from beginning to end - handling the production, recording, mixing, and mastering process entirely myself. Those projects are the most rewarding because I can help shape the full artistic vision and hear the complete evolution of a song from the very first idea to the final master.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I’m continuously working with artists in the studio, expanding my network, improving my technical knowledge, and investing in new gear and studio development.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: At the moment, no specific recommendations.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Analog. While digital tools are incredibly powerful and practical, I still prefer recording real analog instruments whenever possible because they often sound more natural, warm, and alive.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: High-quality work, fast delivery, professional communication, and competitive pricing. I always aim to give artists the best possible value and experience.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: I love the variety and independence that come with running a studio. Every day I work with different artists, genres, personalities, and creative ideas. That constant variation keeps the work inspiring and exciting.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: One of the most common questions I get is what I think about a demo or unfinished track. I always listen carefully and try to provide honest, constructive, and detailed feedback that can genuinely help the artist improve the project.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: Many people think music production is easy money or quick work. In reality, it takes years of dedication, long hours, constant learning, and daily practice to develop the necessary skills and maintain professional quality.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: Where do you want to take this project creatively and professionally? What budget are you working with? What timeline do you have in mind? Do you want to be deeply involved in the creative process, or do you already have a clear concept prepared?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Be as clear as possible about your vision, expectations, references, and goals. The better I understand your idea, the better I can help bring it to life efficiently and professionally.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Probably a piano, a great synthesizer, a high-quality audio interface, a microphone, and a mixer. With those tools, I could still create and record almost anything.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: My journey started at a very young age with piano lessons and musical training. Over time, that evolved into music production with Ableton and eventually into building and running my own professional studio. I’ve now been working professionally in music and earning a living from it for around 10 years.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Technically strong, adaptable, and artist-focused. My priority is always to deliver what best serves the artist and the song.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I enjoy working with passionate people, regardless of their level or genre. For me, genuine dedication and love for music are far more important than status or popularity.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Consistency is everything. Build your craft by working on music every single day, preferably in real studio sessions with artists. Those environments constantly challenge you to improve creatively, technically, and professionally.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I mainly work on contemporary popular music. This includes genres such as hip-hop, pop, R&B, house, and related styles. Because of my versatility, I’m comfortable adapting to different sounds and artistic directions.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest quality is my versatility combined with a strong technical foundation. I’m classically trained as a pianist, I have a highly developed musical ear, and I’m comfortable with composition, arrangement, and harmonic theory. At the same time, I have years of professional experience as an audio engineer, which allows me to approach projects both creatively and technically at a very high level.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring a broad combination of creative and technical skills that allows me to support artists in every aspect of their project. Whether it’s production, arrangement, recording, sound design, mixing, or mastering, I aim to elevate the artist’s vision while staying true to their identity. I enjoy contributing creatively, but I never force my own style or ideas onto a project unless that collaboration is specifically desired.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: My workflow always starts with listening carefully to the artist’s vision, expectations, and budget. From there, I build a process that fits the specific needs of the project. Because I can handle almost every stage of music production myself, every project can be approached differently. Some artists need full creative guidance, while others already have a clear direction and simply need technical support. Flexibility and communication are very important to me.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: We operate two professional recording studios, each designed for different creative workflows. One studio is built around an open recording environment where recording and production happen in the same room, featuring a large mixing console, piano, and a comfortable creative setup. The second studio includes a separate vocal booth for more isolated recordings and precise vocal work. Both studios are equipped with high-quality gear, professional monitoring systems, instruments, and recording equipment to ensure industry-level results.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I’m inspired by experienced studio owners and producers who have spent years building world-class studios, refining their craft, and developing a deep understanding of sound. I especially admire people who combine technical excellence with musical creativity and a passion for high-end audio equipment and acoustics.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I’ve been running studio sessions for nearly 10 years as the owner of Anders Media Studios. Most of the work I do is full-service music production, meaning I guide projects from start to finish. This includes production, recording, mixing, and mastering. In addition to the technical side, we also have a team member focused on promotion, content support, and artist development activities. My goal is always to provide artists with a professional and complete creative environment where they can fully focus on their music.
