Jacob Riddall is a multi-instrumentalist, Songwriter and Producer from London, UK.
With an intricate and emotive style paired with heartfelt lyrics; his music has touched the hearts of thousands. Jacob has achieved commercial success and was nominated for a BBC Radio 2 Young Folk award in 2015. This lead to a wide variety of radio plays and international blog hype.
With a string of both online and physical releases, sold out tours and streaming success, Jacob has gone from strength to strength. As his fan base grows, Jacob has started producing and writing and is involved in many exciting projects across the music world.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Ambient, cinematic sounds.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Why not.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are your goals? How do you want to see the song this time next year.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Piano, pen, paper and computer.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Lyrics that work.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Producing and writing music that feels and sounds REAL
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Singer-Songwriter mostly, but love delving into new genres. Cinematic soundscapes are my fav.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Working with so many different and creative people
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I write songs for un-creative people.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Go for what your project needs. Not just who looks the best.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Ive always loved writing songs from an early age. My time at music school, performing and writing regularly really helped me understand that careers really can be made in doing what you love! Ive not looked back since.

A: Fun, emotive and dedicated.

A: Sampha. The voice, the piano, the production!

A: Less is more, sometimes.

A: Emotion

A: "Is it a hook though?"
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Being mobile allows me to work in many awesome spaces. But when im at home, I run Logic Pro X. Its great for composing and I love using it for mixing down to its user friendly vibe. Slate Digital plugins keep me sounding pro and my Focusrite Pro 24DSP gets me recording properly, every time.
