Interview with NomadFunk
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My playing style lends itself to using space effectively and writing melodic bass lines to complement harmony elsewhere within the song.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I think it would be great to work with Hozier. I love the mix of Trad and R&B influences with poetic lyrics to make a real statement!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: As a bassist, it is my job to lock in to the groove whilst maintaining harmony. That said, my playing style also lends itself to using space effectively and writing melodic bass lines to complement harmony elsewhere within the song.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I feel extremely lucky to have been raised in a family of musical professionals, and as such was steeped in a range of sounds, melodies and genres. During this period of cultivation and even today, it was these family members whom I looked up to the most.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: As a known perfectionist, I will do my utmost to ensure that your track is performed and recorded to the best of my abilities.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My most common type of work is live bass guitar. Writing and performing bass lines to mainly contemporary rock styles
