Sean Oakley on SoundBetter

Hi! I'm Sean, a vocal artist based in Miami, FL primarily focused on R&B, pop, folk, and hip hop music.

I specialize in R&B, pop, and hip-hop songwriting and vocals, with a focus on creating music that feels honest, emotional, and deeply personal. I started writing raps as early as 13 years old as a way to express myself, and that same desire to translate real feelings into music continues to drive my work today.

Whether I’m writing a song from scratch, developing a hook, or bringing a vocal performance to an existing record, I aim to capture emotions like love, longing, yearning, vulnerability, and heartbreak in a way that feels authentic. I believe what makes my work special is that I write from the heart. I value prioritizing genuine emotion and storytelling over simply saying what sounds good.

My sound and songwriting are influenced by artists like Olivia Dean, Leon Thomas, GIVEON, Frank Ocean, and Daniel Caesar. I draw from their ability to combine soulful vocals, memorable melodies, and intimate songwriting while still creating music that feels contemporary.

If you’re looking for a songwriter or vocalist who can help turn an idea, feeling, or unfinished record into something emotionally resonant, I’d love to work with you.
