Lucas SPITERI on SoundBetter

Session bassist and guitarist for extreme & atmospheric music (Houle – Hellfest) & mixing engineer. Tight, expressive bass, 6–8 string guitar tracking, and mixes with clarity, depth & impact.

I’m a session bassist, guitarist and mixing engineer specializing in atmospheric and extreme music.

As the bass player for Houle (Hellfest, European touring), I’ve developed a playing style rooted in precision, intensity, and tone-driven expression. Whether you need tight, aggressive tracking or something more textured and immersive, I focus on serving the emotional core of your music: not just filling space.

Beyond performance, I offer mixing with a strong emphasis on clarity, depth, and impact. I’m particularly comfortable working with dense arrangements (black metal, post-metal, death, etc.), where maintaining definition without losing atmosphere is key.

What I bring to your project:
– Tight, expressive bass recordings tailored to your sound
– A deep understanding of extreme and atmospheric genres
– Mixes that balance power, clarity, and space
– Clear communication and fast turnaround

If you’re looking for someone who understands both the raw energy and the nuance behind heavy music, I’d be glad to collaborate.

I worked with Lucas on several tracks he composed for me, where he handled bass and guitar recording as well as production. He has a great sense of tone and always finds the right balance between power and clarity, even in dense arrangements.

What stood out most to me was his ability to really understand the direction of the music and bring it to life without overcomplicating things. Communication was smooth, and he delivered everything quickly and professionally.

I’d definitely recommend working with him.
