Interview with Isolía
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm currently about to release a trilogy EP project that fuses my latin roots with my dark electro pop sound which I'm very proud of! I'm also working on my first official full EP this year which also more experimentally latin fused, all written, produced by me!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I’m a fast and reliable communicator—once we begin, your project becomes a top priority. I’m committed to delivering within the agreed timeframe while staying aligned with your vision, and I’ll do everything I can to ensure you’re genuinely happy with the final result :)
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: It can be very versatile as I've dabbled in performing a lot of genres from RnB, pop, a lot of rock music and indie pop music. So my sound is primarily sultry, dark feminine like Lana Del Rey and Kali Uchis which can also switch up to more edgy, raw and vocally big like Ethel Cain.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Lana Del Rey of course!!! She hits my heart strings, brings the vulnerability and poetry out of my sound, so I do believe she would bring the best out of my work!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electro-pop, dark-pop, indie-pop, trap, RnB, sometimes latin styles such as reggaeton as my background is South American :)
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I think my strongest skill is my attention to detail as I do enjoy singing so much, I do tend to over deliver to give the client more than what they need as I am passionate about bringing the best out of their songs!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring emotion, atmosphere, and intention to every song. I focus on creating immersive vocal layers and melodies that feel haunting, expressive, and true to the world of the track.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start with getting myself acquainted with what your vision is and what the client is after. I'm quite a fast responder as I like to check in/communicate and get a proper scope of what you prefer! Much like a collaborative process so I ensure you're getting what you're after. From there I will send rough ideas and revise as we go.

A: I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface, PreSonus Eris E5 Studio Monitors 2-Way, Rode NT-2A Studio Condenser Microphone, Native Instruments Maschine Mikro MK3 Compact Drum Machine, Komplete Kontrol A49 Midi Keyboard

A: I'm inspired by Lana Del Rey, Ethel Cain, The Marías, Kali Uchis and Florence and The Machine. Any artist that has world built around them, that writes and produces their own sound.

A: I most often create toplines and vocals for artists looking to add emotional depth and atmosphere to their tracks. I take instrumentals and build out melodies, lyrics, and layered vocals to create something immersive, cinematic, and unique to their vision.
