Producer & composer trusted by brands including Burger King, SodaStream, and eBay. I help artists turn rough demos into release-ready electronic and pop records with modern sound design, strong structure, and emotional impact.
I'm Matthieu, producer behind Laetho, specializing in modern electronic and pop production.
Most artists don't come to me because they need "a producer". They come to me because they have a track they believe in, but it isn't fully landing yet. Maybe the production feels unfinished, the arrangement lacks impact, or the track doesn't sound competitive next to the artists that inspire them.
I help artists turn rough demos, unfinished ideas, and work-in-progress tracks into release-ready records with strong structure, modern sound design, and a clear sonic identity.
My sound is influenced by artists like Fred again.., Skrillex, Flume, Discoluser, and Stromae, combining emotional songwriting with modern electronic production.
Services include:
• Full production
• Co-production & additional production
• Track finishing
• Arrangement development

I work best with electronic pop, alternative pop, melodic electronic, dance, and artist-driven projects.
When reaching out, please send:
• Your demo/work in progress
• A few reference tracks
• Your goals for the project

Working with Laetho on my Eurovision projects was an absolute pleasure. From the very beginning, Laetho completely understood my vision, my sound, and, most importantly, me as a person. That kind of connection is rare.
To me, being an amazing creator isn't just about making great music. it's also about communication, empathy, and bringing out the best in the people you work with. Laetho excels at all of that.
I'm still so proud of the music we created together, and I genuinely can't wait for our next project. Thank you for being you!

Laetho is such a talented producer. We created one of my favourite tracks and I'm still blown away by the quality of his production!! He's insanely skilled, super easy to communicate with, and manages to bring every idea to life. Absolute gem of a human to work with and I'll 100% be working with him again.

Working with Laetho was a truly professional and enjoyable experience. As a professional singer, I naturally approached the project in the way I’m used to, but Laetho wasn’t afraid to challenge me and guide me in a different direction. This led to a result that was not only different, but even better than I had expected. He has a great balance between giving honest feedback and recognizing my strengths, while gently encouraging me to step outside my comfort zone. Would love to work with him again!

Not only is Laetho super talented he's also very fun to work with. I had the chance and pleasure to do a session with him and he was really open to my ideas and instantly knew how to make them sound just the way I imagined and in record time. Very efficient, resourceful and creative. We made an awesome song and I can't wait to release it !! I can't recommend him enough, go Laethooooo !!

Amazing experience working with Laetho on the production of two tracks from my EP. He really understood my vision and also guided me through learning how to mix vocals, couldn't recommend him enough!

I've had the pleasure of working with Laetho on numerous occasions, he's an incredible producer, fast, open minded and a great person to work with overall. I feel like he can tackle any genre and he hasn't proven me wrong yet. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could.

Laetho provided more than I was expecting. He was very clear in communication, got the sound right exactly how I wanted and is just overall a great person. Would definitely recommend!

I recently worked with Laetho on a new track and found it a brilliant experience all round - he has a great attitude, open mind, desire to explore new sounds/directions, and immaculate execution. The full package, basically! 10/10 would recommend.

If you want the highest quality production, clear communication and immaculate vibes for your project - Laetho is the WAY. Not only does he always take so much care and attention to detail in every project but he is incredibly versatile, adaptable, speedy and an absolute joy to work with. In the past 2 years Ive been working with him he's never ceased to amaze me!

5/5!!! I worked with Laetho for the first time last week and it was amazing! He's very professional, collaborative, constructive and overall skilled in his craft. I'm very happy with the song we made and would love to work together again in the future.

I have worked with Laetho on multiple occasions. He is a fantastic producer that works to a very high musical level across many genres (I’ve worked on UK Garage, anthemic pop and R&B/soul with him). He’s very good at working with the people in the room to get the best out of the song and is disarming in the way that he approaches this.

I had the pleasure of working with Laetho on a songwriting camp, on a Pop/Anthemic song. I'm so happy with the result!
Laetho is super easy and fun to work with. His professionalism is immaculate and has excellent producing knowledge and skills. He always makes sure that you are happy with the suggestions and the results. I'm already excited to be working with him again on my next project.

I worked with Laetho on my latest EP and separate tracks afterwards. During the whole process Laetho shows a deep commitment to the project. He takes the time to think with you about the song, new ideas, arrangements, vocals, structure... He's a real guide in the studio. Always prepared to try again, with patience. He makes you feel comfortable and at the same time makes sure you deliver good work. He's an outstanding producer on technological level, has a tremendous musical feeling and insight and masters the human soft skills. All needed in creative processes.

I have worked with Laetho multiple times on both my own project and multiple pitch projects. He is an incredible collaborator and producer! What I love about Laetho is how he works with you as a fully active member of a project as opposed to not offering insight, as I have experienced before. Additionally, I am new to production software, and he is always offering to explain what he does in our projects so I have a better understanding of the work we are doing.
Overall, I highly recommend working with Laetho for his professionalism, his knowledge, his range, and his kindness.

I've worked with Laetho on the Further project, where we wrote a full EP across 8 sessions.
He led the entire process, from vocal recording and topline development to full production. His ability to guide sessions, give clear direction, and elevate ideas made a huge difference.
Everything was handled professionally, and the end result speaks for itself.
Interview with Laetho
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: One of the projects I'm most proud of is the EP I created with Further. It gave me the opportunity to experiment with new styles, play different instruments, write lyrics and explore new production techniques while still building a cohesive sound across the entire project. I was involved in every stage of the process as a songwriter, musician, producer and mixer. It was one of those rare projects where I was able to grow creatively while helping shape a unique artistic identity from the ground up.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I recently wrapped up an album with Adam La Nuit and I'm currently co-producing new music for Cleo. Alongside artist projects, I've been developing a sonic logo for a Belgian company and producing music for several DJs. It's a nice balance between artist development, commercial work and modern electronic production.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Not as of now.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. I lean more towards digital because it's flexible, efficient and allows me to work quickly. That said, some things are hard to replace: a real guitar, a great vocal performance, or a unique instrument often brings a character that software can't fully replicate.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'll bring honest feedback, clear communication, and my full creative attention to help turn your idea into the strongest possible record.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I can write music every day.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Q: Can you make my track sound more professional? A: Yes, but first we need to identify what's actually holding it back. Q: Why doesn't my track hit as hard as the songs I reference? A: It's usually a combination of songwriting, arrangement, sound selection and dynamics. My job is to identify what's missing and help close that gap. Q: Can you work from a rough demo? A: Absolutely. Many of my favorite projects start as voice memos, toplines or unfinished ideas.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: People often think a producer's job is just to make a track sound better. In reality, it's about figuring out what's missing and helping the artist bring their vision to life. Whether that's improving the lyrics, changing the arrangement, or making the chorus hit harder, my job is to help the song become the best version of itself.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: My first questions are usually: What are you trying to achieve? What's currently not working? And what artists or records inspire the direction you're aiming for? Understanding the vision behind the track helps me make better creative decisions throughout the production process.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't hire a producer based solely on genre credits or gear lists. Listen to their work and ask yourself whether their productions make you feel something. The best collaborations happen when there's trust, clear communication and a shared vision for the music. If possible, come with a demo, a few reference tracks and an open mind. The clearer your vision, the easier it is for a producer to help bring it to life.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Macbook, Ableton, Headphones and a guitar.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been making music since my early teens and have been working professionally in audio and music production for over a decade. After studying Audio Engineering, I worked in post-production and dubbing facilities before founding my own creative music studio, where I spent the last 7 years producing and composing music for artists, brands and advertising campaigns. Today, I'm focused full-time on music production and composition, bringing together everything I've learned from commercial work, artist development and years of hands-on studio experience.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style sits at the intersection of electronic music and modern pop. Give me hard-hitting drums, strong songwriting and a unique artistic vision, and I'm in my happy place.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Charlie Puth for the songwriting and production deep-dives. Post Malone for the good vibes, a few beers and the chance to write an incredible song together.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Stop chasing new plugins. Learn your stock plugins inside and out before buying more tools. Great productions come from good decisions, not expensive plugin folders. Less is often more.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Primarily work on electronic and pop music, ranging from alternative pop and melodic electronic to dance-driven productions. I also enjoy incorporating influences from hip-hop and indie.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'm highly adaptable as a producer. Whether a track starts as a voice memo, demo or finished song, I quickly identify what will elevate it and help bring the artist's vision to life.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I help bridge the gap between a good idea and a finished record. I bring fresh perspective, strong arrangement instincts, modern sound design and an objective ear for what a song needs to connect with listeners. My focus is always on helping the artist's vision reach its full potential.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My process starts with understanding your vision. Before touching the production, I like to hear your demo, references, goals and any ideas you already have for the track. Once I understand where you want to go, I'll create a production and begin developing the song, whether that's full production, additional production or track finishing. Throughout the process, I share progress updates to make sure we're moving in the right direction before investing time in unnecessary revisions. After the main production is approved, we move into refinement, focusing on arrangement, sound design, vocal production and overall impact. Most projects go through 1–2 rounds of revisions before final delivery. My goal is to keep the process collaborative, efficient, and stress-free while helping you create a record that feels authentic to your vision and competitive with current releases.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work from a professional hybrid studio built around a Mac-based production setup with high-end monitoring, recording and processing tools. I use Ableton Live Suite 12.4. My studio includes Adam A8X monitors, an Antelope Orion Studio interface, Neumann TLM 103 and Shure SM7B microphones, as well as a selection of analog hardware including Warm Audio compressors and EQs. For composition and sound design, I regularly use instruments such as the Roland Juno-106 and Roland Juno Stage, piano, electric bass and acoustic/electric guitars. This setup allows me to handle everything from songwriting and vocal production to full-scale music production, sound design and final delivery with professional-quality results.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm inspired by artists and producers who blend strong songwriting with innovative production. From the vocal-driven pop craftsmanship of Post Malone, Justin Bieber and Charlie Puth, to the emotional electronic worlds of Fred again.., Flume, James Blake and Lido, I’m drawn to music that feels both personal and sonically distinctive. I also take inspiration from boundary-pushing producers like Skrillex, Noisia and Hudson Mohawke, whose sound design and creative risk-taking continue to shape modern music. Artists such as Stromae, Orelsan, BANKS, Mac Miller and Dayglow remind me of the importance of identity, storytelling and creating music that feels authentic. What connects all of these artists is their ability to combine emotion, originality and accessibility, something I always strive for in my own productions.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most of my work involves helping artists take rough demos, toplines, voice memos or unfinished productions and turn them into release-ready electronic and pop records. This can range from full-track production and co-production to arrangement development, sound design, production upgrades and track finishing. I work closely with artists to strengthen the emotional impact, energy, and sonic identity of a song while keeping their original vision intact.
