A: Building my website.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital, or a hybrid. I can use an analog desk but I strongly prefer not to.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: 80s/90s/00s/10s, mostly rock, punk, grunge, pop, indie, bit of country and folk
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Spotting something that isn’t right, and trouble shooting effectively and efficiently. I communicate well, and I’m good at finding compromises.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Though iv said i work in the audio industry, i was a performer/songwriter first. So i see, and deeply appreciate the journey and story the artist has put into their work. I am a firm believer of whoever mixes focuses more of their own sound. I play the drums, the guitar, the piano, the bass, and sing. I believe my advantage is I have a balanced ear.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by most musicians/engineers I meet, I believe everyone can learn something from each other.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I am a full time live sound engineer. My job entails; managing the band, trouble shooting, sound checking, FOH live mixing (EQ, gates, compression, FXs), monitor/iem mixing. When I’m not working as a live sound tech, I work part time as a mixing engineer my preferred DAW is Logic Pro. I have been mixing for give or take 5 years.
