Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love how music is always different and unique from person to person, and I enjoy interpreting that artistic vision through mixing.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A laptop, a guitar, Focal studio monitors, a microphone, and a power generator.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I’ve been playing multiple instruments for over ten years and started out performing in bands. About five years ago, I began studying music production, audio engineering, and sound design, and I recently completed my bachelor’s degree in this field.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Modern and industry-standard, with a subtle influence from the warmth and musicality of the 70s and 80s.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with RAYE because she is an incredible vocalist and her songs are extremely well written and arranged.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more. Every element in a mix should have a purpose.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I mainly work on pop, rap, and trap music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is mixing, especially when it comes to bringing out the musical and emotional elements of a track.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring clarity, balance, and emotional impact. My goal is to enhance the musical idea and make sure the song translates well across all listening environments while keeping its original character intact.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My process always depends on the project, but it usually starts with organizing the session and creating a clean, structured project. Then I carefully listen to the material, take notes, and build the mix or master step by step with constant reference to the client’s vision.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in a professional setup using Cubase, Ableton Live, and Logic Pro. My monitoring system consists of Focal studio monitors, and I work in an acoustically treated room designed for accurate listening and production decisions.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by artists and producers like Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, and Quincy Jones. I also really admire RAYE for her artistry and vocal performance, as well as bands like Tower of Power for their incredible musicianship and arrangements.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most of my work consists of mixing, mastering, and audio editing. These are the core services I provide for my clients on a daily basis.
