Interview with Youri
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I have a few longterm jobs as a ghostproducer for a couple of DJ's. All other clients just hire me through wesbites just like this one.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. But analog is just still not as good as digital ;)
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: You'll be satisfied.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: It's making music all day. What's there not to like?
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: One of the first questions is probably if there is a deadline or not.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't worry if I can do it or not because I can.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Probably just a guitar, it's actually the only thing I need to make music.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Started playing bass when I was 15, studied bass, piano and musicproduction 'till I was 22 and started a studio 10 years ago.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Popmusic or electronic dance music
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: People say that I'm very professional, creative and organised.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Everything it needs.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: If I get a vocal demo delivered I work with that. If not I start from scratch and send an early demo to the client to get approval.
