Grammy-credited session pianist and composer. Cinematic, emotional piano for artists, producers and film. Remote sessions, delivered in 24 hours.
I'm a Grammy-credited session pianist and composer specializing in cinematic and emotional piano recordings for artists, producers, and film. I deliver expressive performances, arrangements, and original compositions that add depth, atmosphere, and storytelling to your song.
I've worked with Tones and I and Gang of Youths, played stadiums around the world with Hillsong United, and recorded keys on "What a Beautiful Name" with Hillsong Worship. My own piano recordings have grown into millions of streams, which started when I recorded a hymns album at my mother's request.

Interview with David Andrew
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Playing keys on "What a Beautiful Name" with Hillsong Worship, which won a Grammy in 2018. I was one of many hands on that record, and I'm proud of it because a song that size only works when every part serves the moment. I've taken that same approach into every session since: find what the song needs, then play only that.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'll use two decades of experience to make the sonic, harmonic and melodic choices that best serve your song, and you'll have it back within 24 hours.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I listen to the lyrics first. Then I listen to the surrounding parts. Finding the soul of the track is very important to me. I think through which sounds will serve that song, and then I start laying down ideas.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Learning how to craft exactly what the client wants, and what the song needs. Finding the sounds, voicing and dynamic journey it needs to take, and how effects are applied tastefully over the course of a song, not just slapped on and forgotten. Learning how to serve the whole song from intro to outro. Twenty years in the studio, plus stadiums with Hillsong United and records with Gang of Youths and Tones and I, taught me when to play and when to leave space. You get a take that sounds human, arranged to serve the story behind the song.
