Interview with Jack Petrella
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I worked on a project for a Nashville based artist. I played a producer role, and got Sean Hurley to play bass on it. That is my proudest moment at this point!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I have done work with Sean Hurley, obviously, 100% recommend.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Working with music and meeting others!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are you looking for out of this song? Who do you admire? How does this song make you feel?
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to get to know the song and the artist first. I want to understand what the artist is going for so I can properly gauge how I will approach the song. Every song is different, so it really comes down to getting a grasp on the song itself, then taking the necessary steps forward!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I do a lot production work for my clients, as well as mixing and guitar session work.
