I'm Carl Holz, a Berklee alum and long time professional gigging and session drummer. I've opened for Bob Seger at Pine Know, Joan Armatrading at the Kennedy Center among so many more. These days, my focus is on my remote studio drummer business. I'm comfortable in any genre that needs pocket, and my decades of working with singer/songwriters on the creative side, have definitely shaped my approach to a song. I've been recording for decades, including going to California to record at Alpha/Omega in San Rafael, where we were produced by the late great Hammond organ wizard Howard Wales, who also played on the album. Additionally, I was fortunate to appear on a track on Howard’s Complex/Simple CD called "Buster's Blues".

My average price for a song is $60. That would vary, based on the number of songs in a project, either less per song or and agreed upon fee for the whole project. I use Studio One 6 Professional, Peavey Radial drums with good mics and I can offer up to 16 channels. I will do a one day turn-around, provided I receive the track by noon, MDT. I offer up to 4 revisions per song and will send an mp3 for approval, after which I send the stems, which I can send dry or with a basic eq.
