I'm Tom Pierre, an English/French freelance producer, arranger, mixer and session musician based in Liverpool, UK. I Specialise in horn/string arranging, mixing, bass and full/partial production.
As a Bassist, I am well versed in Jazz, Heavy Metal, Funk, Country, Motown, Pop-Punk and Big Band music. I am close to 10 years of playing and I am a proficient slap, finger-style and pick player, as well as a confident reader (I am happy to work from sheet music!).
As a Mixing Engineer, I look to provide mixes that amplifies the energy of the production and make the artist truly excited for the world to hear their song. I deliver professional quality mixes that are vibrant and punchy, letting the song breathe while holding up to modern standards.
As an Arranger I can create original tracks for your media project. I am also experienced arranging for horns and strings in numerous genres. With my arrangements I aim to support the song by providing lush and harmonically interesting orchestration.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: When recording bass, I typically record through my Tech 21 Sans Amp, using a Fender Jazz 4-string, Fender PJ fretless 4-string or Sire M2 five-string. For my composition and mixing I use Logic Pro. For scoring an arranging I use Sibelius Ultimate
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: As a bassist I find myself returning most to the work of James Jamerson, Cliff Burton and Pino Palladino. In my mixes I often refer to the work of Daniel Nigro and Eric Valentine
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Session electric bass, mixing and composition/arranging for songs and media.
