Miguel Rueda

Rock producer and session gtr

Miguel Rueda on SoundBetter

I’m a jazz-trained guitarist, producer and mix engineer who cares about feel as much as sound. I help artists turn ideas into honest, powerful records — from full production to final master. Rock, indie, latin, jazz and beyond. Musical instinct meets technical precision.

I’m a professional musician, producer and mixing & mastering engineer based in Medellín, Colombia. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music with a focus on Jazz Guitar, and for me, production always starts from musicality.

With over 7 years of experience as a session guitarist and 5 years working as a producer, mix & master engineer and live sound engineer, I understand music from both the artistic and technical sides. I’ve worked across rock, indie, latin, jazz, blues, metal, R&B, soul and hip-hop.

I specialize in recording drums, electric and acoustic guitars, bass, keyboards, wind instruments and full live band sessions. I also have strong experience mixing and mastering live recordings, keeping their energy intact while achieving clarity and punch.

Whether you come with a demo or just lyrics and references, I help you shape a record with identity, depth and intention. I care about feel, dynamics and sonic character — not just loudness.

My goal is simple: deliver music that sounds honest, powerful and ready for release.
