I’m a guitarist and composer specialising in mixing instrumental music with clarity, depth and musical feel.
I work across jazz, fusion, cinematic and hybrid projects combining acoustic and digital instruments.
As an active recording musician, I approach mixing from a musical perspective first. I focus on space, dynamics and balance, ensuring every instrument has room while preserving groove and expression.
Working primarily in Logic Pro with structured bus routing and analogue-style processing, I aim to create mixes that breathe rather than feel over-compressed.
Whether your project features real instruments, virtual instruments, or both, my goal is a natural, polished and streaming-ready result.

Interview with Lewis Sanchez
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I’m especially proud of my instrumental releases. I handled the entire process, including composition, performance, production and mixing. Each project continues to sharpen my skills and push my standards higher.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I’m currently working on new instrumental releases
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital for precision and flexibility, analogue-inspired processing for warmth and depth. I combine both to serve the music.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Understanding intention is more important than processing tools.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask about the emotional goal of the track, reference mixes they like, track count and deadlines.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Choose someone who understands your musical language, not just your genre.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I’m a guitarist and composer who began focusing on production and mixing through my own releases. Over the years I’ve developed a structured and musical approach to shaping instrumental projects.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Clear, dynamic and spacious. I prefer musical transparency over excessive loudness.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Build your mix with faders first. If the balance works before heavy processing, the final result will feel more natural and musical.1
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Instrumental jazz, fusion, cinematic and hybrid projects that combine real instruments with virtual textures.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Creating depth and space while preserving dynamics. I aim for mixes that breathe rather than feel over-processed.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A musician’s perspective. Because I actively compose and produce, I listen for phrasing, articulation and groove, not just frequency balance. My goal is to enhance what makes the performance expressive.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I begin by understanding the intention of the song. Then I build a static balance before applying subtle EQ, compression and spatial processing. I focus on dynamics and interaction between instruments before final polish. Revisions are collaborative and musical rather than purely technical.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work primarily in Logic Pro with a structured session layout that keeps mixes organised and balanced from the ground up. I build my sessions around instrument groups so I can shape the overall depth and space of a track cohesively. My setup combines clean digital precision with analogue-inspired processing to add warmth, subtle harmonic character and musical compression. I focus on dynamic control and clarity rather than heavy limiting. I blend real instruments with virtual elements while maintaining a cohesive soundstage. Everything in my setup is designed to support feel, space and musical interaction.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by artists who prioritise musicality and depth in sound. I’m drawn to productions where clarity and atmosphere coexist naturally.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I work primarily on instrumental projects combining acoustic and digital instruments, often in jazz, fusion or cinematic styles. My focus is mixing music that values space, dynamics and musical interaction.
