Kitty Curia on SoundBetter

Lost for words? Then I might be the Curio you need. Something poetic or something sultry? I'll find the right lyrics for your track.

Hey, I'm Curia, also go by Cyra. Lyrics are my specialty and I wanna write for you. Lyrics are always the first thing that come to me when writing my own tracks, so it's the skill I've honed the most, especially since I didn't always have the means to record anything. I've not yet gotten to work with many others, outside of a few small things I was invited to during university, but I wanna change that. Most of my experience is with Rock/Metal and EDM but I'm happy to listen to and work with most genres. My main offering is lyrics but I also mix, It's satisfying getting each part to sit nicely in their lil pocket, especially those tiny background sounds usually ignored but would be missed if taken out.

If it's lyrics you want, and already have the music or even a basic track, then send over what you have along with a description of the vibe you're aiming for, maybe a reference track/artist if you have one and I'll figure something out for you.
If you want me to mix your track, then please send the stems of each part as wav files with the title of which part each one is and I'll put it together.

Send me a note through the contact button above.

Interview with Kitty Curia

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My debut album really, it was my project I started in my final year of university and did pretty much everything myself. Worked on everything, whilst completing the degree side of things, from the lyrics to every aspect of composing, mixing and mastering. Brought in others to have live drums on a couple of the tracks as well as a full band for the performance part.

  3. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  4. A: Not been doing this as long as I'd have liked but we all dance to our own rhythm. Went to college for music, ended up taking a break for several years before rediscovering the passion and went to uni for it. 3 years later I graduate and here I am.

  5. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  6. A: There are so many to choose from that I would love to work with, but right now I think Audrey Nuna would be sick. She just has such a variety across her albums, impeccable vibes - Space and Long Year are perfect songs, but then Locket, Damn Right and Mine are top tier as well.

  7. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  8. A: Some variant of rock or EDM works my basis but I always find other genres influence and work their way in, either in the lyrics, the drum pattern or the synth.

  9. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  10. A: Lyrics writing for sure, it's the skill I ended up developing the most because until I went to uni, I never had the means to record anything better than a voice note on my phone. so from that, my notebooks and notes apps basically became my best friend for song writing.

  11. Q: What's your typical work process?

  12. A: Lyrics first and foremost, usually there's a vibe or vocal melody that forms at the same time with maybe a partial verse or chorus and then I build from there.

  13. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  14. A: Tobias Forge, Noah Sebastian, YMIR, Ghost Data, Audrey Nuna, P.T. Adamczyk. these are just some of them, I'd be here forever if I listed everyone.
