Musician-focused and album-centered analog+digital mixing and production for local / regional / up and coming indie artists in the Pacific NW and beyond. I especially like working with stoner / psychedelic rock, grunge, garage-rock and shoe-gaze styles.

Hi! My name is Jason Baker and I am the owner and lead engineer at Sasquatch Recording, the small indie recording studio I started in 2019 in the Portland, Oregon area as a way to professionally record my own bands and those of my close music co-conspirators. I have worked with a wide range of local and regional artists over the past few years, from bluegrass to jazz, spoken word, indie rock to alt rock and stoner rock. In that time, I've developed an appreciation for a hybrid digital and analog workflow which I feel has allowed me to capture warm, classic, real performances and turn them into great sounding records.

I love big sounding drums and guitars, fuzz pedals, tube amps and analog tape. Some of my favorite artists are the classics: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Sonic Youth, The White Stripes.
