I make Hardstyle and Hardcore ghost productions for dj's. I'm a producer based in The Netherlands specialised in (Raw)Hardstyle, Hardcore and Hard Techno. I make ghost and co-productions for dj's that want to focus mainly on their performance. I also mix and master songs from other artists and i teach music production in my studio 1 on 1 sessions.
Are you a hard dance dj and you don't have the time and/or skills to make enough music by yourself? I can help you with ghost productions or finish your rough mix. I've helped artists like Jason Payne, Vainez, Sabotage and more.
Do you have a track finished but your ears are fatigued because you've worked on it for too long? We all know the feeling and i can help you mix and/or master your song with fresh ears.

Interview with Maarten van Hout
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I worked on a Hardstyle cover track of "Kensington - Sorry" with a very talented vocalist who i recorded and produced and i'm very proud of the outcome.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Several Hardstyle tracks for different dj's.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I'm just new to SoundBetter so i don't actually.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. I'm in a hybrid studio with some analog gear just because i like to manually turn knobs.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That they always get a great releasable track.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The creative process of releasing you're idea's in the music.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: If i can make productions that sound like a specific artist. I always tell them that they need to sound like themselves instead of a copy of another artist.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I honestly don't know
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: If you know what you want try to be as specific as possible about your idea's.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Try to do very smart marketing via social media. Humor always catches attention.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Since there's no electricity on a desert island i coudn't take much but a guitar would do.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started a dj act as Calybr and decided i didn't want to be in the spotlight so i did some ghost production as a freelancer for a music production company and after a couple years i started for myself. I started around 2015 as Calybr and in 2020 i quit as dj and only did ghost productions.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Wide range from classic hardstyle to spoontech style and everything in between.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would like to work with someone like D-Sturb because he is one of the most talented Hardstyle dj's.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If you want to make a unique sound, try to record some sounds you encounter outside and make something out of it.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hardstyle, Hardcore and Hard Techno
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Making banging kicks and a catchy melody.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: In ghost production i make everything from scratch to a finished track.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I don't have a typical work process. Most of the time i do what i feel like at the moment, that way i can get full inspiration and make the best progress possible.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in a hybrid setup with a behringer X32 and an SSL UF8, my speaker setup is a pair of Genelecs 8030a with a 7050 sub. And i record vocals in a vocal booth through a Neumann TLM 102 into a Warm Audio WA73, Warm Audio WA76 into a UAD Apollo Twin with a Satellite.
