I mix organic, acoustic, and singer-songwriter records — the kind that still sound great in twenty years.
I started in the era of CDs on the shelf at Borders, and I'm still doing this now that everything lives in our earbuds. In all that time I've learned a great-sounding record endures all the change. That's the only thing I'm chasing on your song: not a trend, not a fashionable mix move that'll date in a year — just excellent, and timeless.
I came up alongside the Hotel Café scene in Los Angeles in the early oughts, and have worked on records with Sara Bareilles, John Corbett, Tony Lucca, Tyler Hilton, and a lot of artists you haven't heard of who deserved a mix that took their song seriously. Two and a half decades in, I've worked on a thousand songs, and most of the job is knowing what yours actually needs — and, just as often, what to leave alone.
How I work: you'll always know where your song is and what it's going to cost. No going dark for three weeks, no surprise invoices, no ego. I send updates, I take notes, and I'd rather over-communicate than leave you wondering. Mixing someone else's music is a sacred art. It's an honor that you trust me to play in your sandbox -- and I'll never forget it. I will mix your song professionally, with care, and with your intended creative point of view.

We work until you're happy. I can mix a song in a couple days, a week at most. An EP in a couple weeks, and an album in a month. Additional costs are rare and talked about beforehand.
