Interview with ENNORD
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: One project I’m particularly proud of is my ongoing artistic project ENNORD. It allowed me to fully develop my identity as a composer and producer, blending cinematic electronic soundscapes with emotional storytelling. My role covers the entire creative process(composition, production, sound design, mixing, mastering, promotion…). This project represents both artistic exploration and professional growth, and it continues to open new collaborative opportunities.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I’m currently working on my upcoming EP "Polarity" under my artistic project ENNORD. The project explores contrast and balance through cinematic electronic music, aiming to create an immersive emotional journey. Alongside this release, I’m continuing composition, production and sound design collaborations focused on atmospheric electronic music and audiovisual contexts.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I’m still discovering the SoundBetter community, but I truly respect the diversity of talent here. Collaboration and openness are what make this platform interesting.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I mainly work digitally for flexibility and precision, but I always aim to bring warmth, depth and organic feeling into the sound. For me, the result matters more than the format.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is to deliver music that feels authentic, unique, emotionally meaningful and professionally produced, while keeping communication open and the creative process collaborative.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Creation, Freedom, Flexibility. I love translating emotions into sound and seeing how music can connect people, tell stories or enhance a visual or artistic project. That emotional connection is what drives me most.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: The most common question is usually: “Can you match the mood I have in mind?” My answer is always yes, as long as we communicate clearly. I involve clients early in the process so the music evolves in the right direction from the start.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Many people think music production is mostly technical, but for me it’s primarily about emotion, storytelling and connection. Technology is just the tool, but the feeling comes first.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I usually ask about the emotional intention of the project, references they like, the context where the music will be used, and their expectations in terms of mood, impact and deadlines. Understanding the vision first always leads to better music.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Look for someone whose artistic sensitivity matches your vision. Technical skills matter, but communication, emotional understanding and creative trust are what really make a project successful.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A laptop with Reason Studio, a good pair of headphones, a MIDI keyboard, a portable audio interface and a field recorder.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Music has been part of my life from a very early age. I started piano at five, and discovered music production around thirteen, which opened a whole new creative world for me. Alongside music, my previous professional experience was centered around helping and supporting people, which naturally shaped my desire to create art that connects emotionally and brings something positive to others. Over the years, I’ve continued developing my production skills while building my artistic project ENNORD, focused on cinematic electronic music, emotional depth and immersive sound design. Today, I combine this artistic sensitivity with professional production work for artists and creative projects.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style blends cinematic electronic soundscapes with emotional depth. I like exploring contrasts(light and shadow, tension and calm,...) to create immersive musical experiences rather than just tracks. My music is your story.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Paul Sabin, Moderate, Jon Hopkins, Throwin snow, Hans Zimmer, Philipp Glass, Max Richter, David odowda, and other...
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always start with emotion before technique. A strong emotional idea will guide your sound choices, arrangement and production decisions much better than plugins or presets alone.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I mainly work on cinematic electronic music, ambient textures and emotionally driven electronic productions. My focus is on creating immersive atmospheres, sound design depth and music that tells a story beyond simple genre boundaries.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is translating emotion into sound — creating music that feels cinematic, immersive and emotionally honest while maintaining strong production quality.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring atmosphere, emotional depth and sonic identity. My goal is not only to produce a track, but to create a listening experience that feels immersive and authentic while remaining accessible and impactful.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually start by understanding the emotional intention and context of the project. Then I develop textures, harmony and rhythm progressively, keeping communication open with the client. I deliver drafts early, refine collaboratively, and finish with detailed mixing and polishing to ensure the final result matches both artistic vision and technical standards.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work from a professional home studio built around Reason Studio, high-quality monitoring, virtual instruments and sound design tools. My setup focuses on flexibility and creativity, allowing me to produce atmospheric electronic music, cinematic textures and detailed mixes efficiently.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by artists who blend emotion and sound design in a cinematic way — people like Jon Hopkins, Nils Frahm, Moderat, Max Cooper, Max Richter... More broadly, I’m inspired by any artist capable of creating atmosphere, contrast and emotional storytelling through sound.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mainly compose and produce immersive electronic music with a cinematic and emotional approach. I work on original compositions, sound design, production and mixing for artists, audiovisual projects and creators looking for depth, atmosphere and strong emotional impact.
