Hi there, I'm Holly. With experience writing songs for other artists, I'm good at working to a brief or just letting the creative juices flow. I've also had 8+ years experience as a session singer, musician and songwriter. I've got a great ear for harmonies and am a naturally expressive musician.
I've recently been writing for Thai pop star (and ex-BNK48 member), Jan Chan. Two of the singles I worked on debuted at #2 in the Thai Itunes Charts, and another is being featured in an upcoming line.tv drama.
I currently collaborating with EDM producers and have recently been featured on a track released via Trap Nation.
I'm passionate about bringing your music to life! Working as a covers singer and musician has made me very versatile stylistically, but I believe the most important thing is bringing the right vibe to your music. I'm good at painting a picture with words and writing emotive melodies across a variety of genres. I can read music if required. (I'm also a trained classical flautist who's had experience playing in projects ranging from Orchestras to Prog Rock bands.)
I'm currently available for any projects so feel free to message and let's have a chat!
Please note: Whilst I've worked on projects in Japan and Thailand, I'm only able to write lyrics in English!
Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.

Interview with Holly Terrens
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm proud of a song I wrote for Jan Chan. To write a song on the piano and guitar at home, record it, pitch it and then have a team of people in another country make a music video, as well as release a translated version feels pretty cool!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like it when a client tells me how happy they are with my contribution to their project - that's the most important thing.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: If I'm toplining, usually I'll get a melodic idea right away and keep humming that all day. I like to spend time with the track on repeat before stepping into the studio. Once I get in there, I build upon my ideas - both melodically and lyrically, and drink a lot of ginger tea.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm always inspired by Lady Gaga - she's obviously so talented as a singer, writer and musician and her style is very versatile whilst always being catchy.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Have a clear vision for your music and go with your gut when choosing who to work with.
