  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I fronted a band called Kill The Knight. We wrote some pretty cool stuff that I loved and still do. It's always nice to listen back to those songs. It brings you right back to that time and place

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm currently co writing and arranging songs with and original band called 'Bowery Boy'

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Not at the moment, but that'll change I'm sure

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Analog, It's a warmer sound. Digital is getting better day by day though!

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I promise to look deep inside myself to create the best parts for your music. Being a songwriter myself I know how precious it is

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: I love playing the guitar , always have and always will

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That we don't need to practice, everyone needs to practice!

  18. A: What's the song about ? Do you need to hear anything in particular? (textures)

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Do it , you won't be disappointed

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: my acoustic, Ireal pro to play over some changes. A jazz guitar, my telecaster and a record player to play my favourite tunes

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I'm now 37. I've been performing and working as a freelance guitarist for 21 years now

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Rock meets Soul meets jazz fusion

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Stevie Wonder. He is so influential

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Always make sure you've made every approach necessary to create the best parts for the music you're working on. Leave no stone unturned

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Currently back from a North American tour, That comprised of performing songs of country music's biggest stars including Loretta Lynn and Johnny Cash.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Listening and being creative to make the music achieve its true potential

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: A combination of talent, taste and consideration for what the artist is looking to hear

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: My typical work process is listening and evaluating the music, making observations and notes of possible ideas. Upon 3rd or 4th listen I start to play and see if the ideas are suitable to the song

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I'm lucky to have a fine arsenal of guitars including Fender Telecaster, Gretsch Chet Atkins sig. model and for recording I use a MacBook Air and KRK speaks in my home studio

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: Oz Noy is one of my favourite performers and composers at the minute. I love James Taylor, Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers also

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: The most common type of work I do for my clients is listen to their music and figure out what's best for the song. Then I carefully make approaches to bring only the best and suitable ideas to life
