15y+ experience Brazilian guitarrist, skilled in Rock, Blues and R&B, doing high-quality riffs and solos.
I've started studying the guitar when I was 14yo, and grew up playing in bands and at the church, going from metalcore to gospel, passing through the different styles in between.
Today I have my own projects and produce my songs in my home studio. I can provide very good quality recording, using my own equipamento, but (if necessary) I can also perform in a studio of your preference.
The 80s got the best songs for me, and I'm inspired by Santana, Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, Juninho Afram, B.B. King, John Mayer and Slash (yes, he's got style and a nice timbre).

Interview with G.A. Oliver
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My last Christmas EP. It was fully produced by me, with my very non-pro equipment at the time. I sang, I played, mixed and mastered. And, as a result, it was really better that I expected it could be. People liked it, I liked it, and I could finally play the classic Christmas songs I liked in a way I always wanted it.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My first non-holiday themed album.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Don't know yet.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog. There's a warmth and a response that I feel better with the analog equipments, but they're usually more expensive, so I use the digital more.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'll deliver high-quality sound. Nothing robotic or empty.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love playing, and I love constantly being inspired by different genres and types of music.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Nothing particular.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Haven't found it yet.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your song about? What are your inspirations? How do you imagine the guitar/vocal you're hiring will fit there? Do you want a guitar with personality or one that only fulfils the song?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Know your song and be sure that the musician knows it too. You want a musician who gets the feeling when playing it.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A Stratocaster guitar, a Marshall full-stack amp, an Ibanez Tube Screamer pedal, any nice delay pedal and a Dunlop Cry-Baby.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been playing for more than 15 years, and I'm now focusing on my solo career. I sing and play the guitar, and I'm here on the internet trying to have fun selling a bit of my work and contribution to other people's projects.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I'm a Frankenstein's monster that, somehow, mixes Hard Rock, Metalcore and Death Metal with R&B and Pop Music. Some kind of Pop Progressive Metalcore.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: John Mayer or Carlos Santana. Both are great guitarists and convey strong feelings when playing the guitar. Mateus Asato or Juninho Afram, because we share the same background, and they're great and technical guitarists, that would also be a great challenge for me. And Ed Sheeran, because I like his songs and his large genre range.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't EQ your instruments separately; listen to the whole so you can feel what frequencies to add or remove to that individual instrument.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly Metal, hard rock or gospel. Also, some R&B from time to time.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'm great at making riffs and solos. Even though I've studied and can make technical stuff, I'm more into putting the feeling so we can communicate with people. So my riffs and solos are usually more sentimental, even when it's fast and technical.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: It depends on the song's need. I can bring warmth, colour, fulfilment, life, feeling... A guitar can be magical and express a lot.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: If I need to add a riff or a solo to an existing song, I usually listen to it and try to understand what the song is all about and what it is calling for. I let my feelings speak for me, and I start trying to put it out. I play some different variations of the same riff/solo until I find all the small pieces that I can put together and make the best riff/solo I could think of.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I'm mostly producing my new projects at home. I'm constantly changing my setup based on my current needs. Now (since February of 2026), I'm working with a Valeton GP-200, an Audient ID14 MKII and 2 PreSonus Eris 5 monitors. With these equipments I can make pro-quality sounds, and I'm really liking it.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Mateus Asato is a great guitarist that is being very well-known recently. He's a big friend of Juninho Afram, another big influence for me. Mateus' sounds are amazing, and I usually get myself "stealing" some of his timbres or licks.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I'm just starting with those small jobs. Usually, I play directly in full projects or with a band. But I'm the type of person who constantly evaluates the goal and the process, and I can help with suggestions that could improve the end quality.
