A mashup of Pat Metheny's tone with Larry Carlton's direct simplicity, Roy is a master at adding colorful hooks, amplifying the melody, accompanying the vocalist. Roy has played with Todd Rundgren, Mickey Thomas (Starship), and jazz chanteuse Tierney Sutton.
Roy's playing is exceptionally lyrical and melodic; he doesn't throw around "guitar licks", because he started out on keyboards as a kid. With over 100 songwriting credits, Roy's latest big project involved creating the book & music to his own original "Broadway" musical, "Miracle Girl".
