Remote Mastering

Grace Sandford on SoundBetter

Trained with Grammy Award-winning mastering engineer at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU.

I studied music production, audio engineering, music business, and music journalism at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music in Tisch School of the Arts at NYU (long name, eh?). Mastering is my strong suit. I studied under Grammy Award-winning mastering engineer Alan Silverman. I specialize in dance and electronic music as that is what I produce and am most passionate about, but I've had singer-songwriter, pop, and rock clients as well, and I'm more than willing to branch out to other genres. For the next two months I'm in Berlin and have access to Moguai's personal recording studio at Riverside Studios.

I also edit and mix audio. I studied mixing under Bob Power, who has mixed records for artists like D'Angelo and A Tribe Called Quest; I studied music production under Nick Sansano, who has produced/engineered records with artists like Sonic Youth and Public Enemey; and I studied ear training (yes, ear training) with Jim Anderson, who will show his 10 Grammys to anyone who asks about them.

Additional services I provide include recording background vocals (current microphone I have access to is a Brauner Phantom) and biography writing/editing.
