Chris Winston is a music producer and recording artist/songwriter from Los Angeles, CA. His debut album, Vision From The Backseat is out now.
Chris Winston was born Uriel Christopher Winston on June 26th 1994 in Sacramento, California. He lived there for 5 years until moving to Los Angeles, California with his mother. In high school he was moved around from Los Angeles to Austin,Texas (where he began producing music) to Bloomfield, New Jersey where he graduated high school in 2012. He interned at a recording studio during his senior year and learned more about sound mixing.
He attended community college shortly before committing his time to his music career. He now offers Music production/Songwriting services.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My first album, Vision From The Backseat. I spent 3 years producing the entire project and writing all the songs.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: i am working on my 2nd album which is slated to released summer 2018.

A: Digital simply because that's what i was introduced to when began making music

A: It doesn't feel like a job.

A: What are my prices? $150 for exclusives and I am open to negotiate.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception about what I do is that I learned how to make music overnight.

A: "What kind of sound are you looking for?"

A: Know your sound
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My Laptop, KRK Speakers, a case of Fiji water, Alot of weed (lol), unlimited backwoods.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been making music since 2008.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I like to be as open to new sounds as possble. By doing that I mesh alot of styles together. I love bass-heavy production.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: One artist i really want to work with is kanye west. I feel like i can learn alot from him as well come out with really dope music.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Make sure the mix is right on every sound included in your production.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip Hop
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Creating records with alot of replay value.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I make music that gives listeners an open pocket to be as creative as they need to be.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to develop songs that I consider hit records. Whether just focusing on the production of the record or developing the song the meshes perfectly with the production.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I mainly use FL Studio 12 for music production.
