Last Wish

Songwriter, Music Producer

Last Wish on SoundBetter

I don’t make songs—I build moments that move culture, charts, and people. I’m a top-level recording artist blending raw emotion, cinematic vision, and precision songwriting to create music that connects deeply, scales globally, and stands the test of time.

I am a top-level recording artist and music composer guided by vision, discipline, and truth. Authenticity is the core of my work. I create music that breathes—built from raw emotion, cinematic storytelling, and deliberate songwriting—records designed not just to be heard, but to be felt and carried.

I approach music as both art and architecture. Sound, silence, melody, and meaning work together in my process, shaping moments that linger. As a composer, I focus on emotional movement—how a single note can open a memory, how tension can speak louder than volume. My work bridges honesty and scale, allowing listeners to connect intimately while reaching far beyond the room.

What separates me is perspective. I write from lived experience, resilience, and clarity of purpose, translating real life into sound that cuts through noise. My music is distinct yet adaptable, grounded yet expansive, rooted in truth while built to endure. I don’t chase trends or algorithms—I build worlds that last.

Beyond creation, I move with intention and professionalism. Every collaboration, performance, and release is part of a larger arc. I’m not waiting for the future—I’m delivering in the present, focused on creating music that outlives moments and building a catalog that defines an era rather than follows one.

Interview with Last Wish

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My latest album, Healing Harmonies. I was the artist, engineer & producer. I'm proud of the being able to put at least 5 genres of music on the album and having it still sound cohesive.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Songwriting for potential clients.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Not yet.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital. There's so much to STILL LEARN and digital makes workflow quicker. Analog has my heart though.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: My promise is i'll be as authentic as I can & give my 1000% to give you what you're looking for.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Being able to express myself and style through audio design.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Q: How long will it take? A: What's your deadline?

  15. Q: How would you describe your style?

  16. A: Outta this world! Lemme stop lol, I'd say, heavily 90's influenced mixed with a bit of unorthodoxy. Very melodically driven.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: Hip Hop, Alternative, RnB, Rock

  19. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  20. A: Over the years I've owned a multitude of studios but at this very moment in time I'm using a digital setup. I record, produce, mix & master everything in Studio Pro. Focusrite audio interface, Blue Spark mic & KRK pair running through a MacBook M1 chip, 16gb ram.

  21. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  22. A: I mainly edit, mix and give creative ideas such as: Melodies, runs, lyrics, etc.

  23. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  24. A: That it's simple to take an idea and create the vision the client wants or spot on.

  25. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  26. A: What’s the goal for the song and where will it be used/released? Send a few reference tracks—what do you like about each (vibe, tempo, vocal style, production)? What do you need from me specifically (write, produce, vocal produce, reference track) and what stage are you starting from? What’s your deadline and your budget range? What’s the deal structure: work-for-hire or splits, and who owns the master/publishing?

  27. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  28. A: Be clear upfront about reference songs, vibe, lyrical themes, tempo, and deadlines, and agree on deliverables (demo, stems, instrumental, vocal mix, final master), revision limits, and pricing before the first session. Lock in the business stuff early like: who owns the song, publishing/splits, credits, and whether files can be reused.

  29. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  30. A: Assuming you're talking about audio gear I'd take: A solar power generator, MacBook, condensor mic with wind protector, a do it all audio interface & headphones. But realistically: A water filter, fishing gear, fire starter kit, large tarp & a blade.

  31. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  32. A: My career path was anywhere music was being created. Music Producer or Music Composer while being an Artist as a hobby.

  33. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  34. A: Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony because he has endless styles of rapping, singing, melodies, and that's who I literally studied thee most on my musical journey. I'd love to see what we could come up with.

  35. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  36. A: Mix like, 'The bottom of a hazard cone has to come out of the top of the cone.' Before mixing, pull tracks down so your master peaks down to AT LEAST -12 db (I usually start my mixes around -15db). You want to leave room for the frequencies to be mastered efficiently.

  37. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  38. A: Creativity

  39. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  40. A: Emotion

  41. Q: What's your typical work process?

  42. A: It depends on the audio design job. If it's to write a song about a specific topic, I usually make a melody or ask if they have something in mind to reference and get to it.

  43. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  44. A: I'm a huge fan of Bootsie Collins simply because of how he plays the bass guitar. The bass is truly my favorite part of most records. I feel the bass is the heart & soul of the music. I also love many music producers & composers such as: Timbaland, Ryan Leslie, Bear McCreary, Hans Zimmer, Max Richter, Dr. Dre, Kanye West & so many more!
