Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Digital. It allows so much flexibility for recall and collaboration.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: I promise to treat your music with care, communicate clearly, meet deadlines, and deliver a mix that feels true to your intent—not generic or overproduced.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: I usually ask what they love most about the song. And if they have any vibe references -- positive and/or negative.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Trust the vibes. Don't be over-impressed or underwhelmed by a gear list.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Clean, emotional, and intentional. I favor clarity over hype, balance over excess, and mixes that feel natural while still sounding polished and complete.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Indie pop, singer-songwriter, and alternative projects, along with film- and musical-adjacent work where emotion, lyrics, and arrangement are central. I gravitate toward music that’s meant to say something.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Hearing what matters most in a song and prioritizing it in the mix—especially vocals, lyrics, and emotional arc—without overprocessing or crowding the arrangement.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: Perspective. I listen for what the song is trying to communicate and make technical choices that support that goal. I bring clarity, restraint, and an outside ear that respects the artist’s vision.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: I start by understanding the client’s goals, references, and emotional intent. From there I focus on balance, vocal clarity, and translation, sharing a first pass and refining through collaborative revisions until the mix feels finished and intentional.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I most often mix and master vocal-forward songs for indie artists, as well as narrative-driven projects for film and musical storytelling. Many clients come to me with strong beginnings that need enhancement and/or fine-tuning without losing personality.
