Game and cinematic composer focused on narrative-driven indie and AAA-style game music.
With extensive musical studies spanning academic studies, conservatory training, and advanced mentorship in music production, I compose full soundtracks, themes, and trailer music designed to support story, pacing, and a range of emotional arcs. My background includes a strong instrumental foundation in piano and keyboards, alongside studies in percussion, drums, and guitar. My personal compositions are written to function as complete narratives on their own— built with game worlds, characters, and progression in mind. My special interests lie in composing pieces relating to sci-fi, historic/epic, thriller and medieval genres.
I work remotely with a professional, collaborative, and highly communicative workflow. I offer revisions during the early and thematic stages to ensure we establish the right musical direction from the start, followed by regular progress updates and clear timelines based on each project's scope and complexity. My goal is to work closely with developers to create a strong and memorable musical identity that truly serves their game.

Interview with Rob Esteves
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Clear communication, respect for their vision, and music that serves the story. I aim to make the collaboration smooth, transparent, and creatively fulfilling.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been studying and working with music from a young age, with extensive academic and conservatory training alongside professional mentorship in music production. Over time, my focus naturally shifted toward cinematic composition and narrative-driven projects.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is storytelling through music, using harmony, texture, and orchestration to create emotion and atmosphere that supports narrative and world-building.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a strong sense of narrative and atmosphere. I focus on making music feel purposeful, serving the story, the emotion, and the pacing of the project rather than just filling space.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start by understanding the narrative, tone, and emotional goals of the project. From there, I create early sketches or thematic ideas and refine them through feedback until the musical direction is clear. Once approved, I move into full composition, orchestration, and production, keeping clients updated with regular progress reports throughout the process.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My biggest influences are Vangelis, Hans Zimmer, and James Horner. I'm especially inspired by their ability to tell stories through texture, harmony, and emotion, and to make music feel inseparable from the worlds it supports.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I most commonly work on cinematic music for narrative-driven projects, creating full soundtracks, themes, and atmosphere-focused pieces that support story, emotion, and immersion. My work is usually centered around mood, pacing, and world-building.
