Industry-level guitar work and production you can trust. I’m a New York–based guitarist, composer, and producer specializing in expressive, cinematic guitar work and modern sound design. Whether you need melodies, textures, or full production support, I craft with intention — shaping your track into a vivid, memorable experience.
My work centers on expressive, modern guitar performance and detailed sound design, with a focus on tone, intention, and feel.
My primary services include:
• Custom electric and acoustic guitar recording
• Full-scale production and arrangement
• Atmospheric textures, stereo soundscapes, and melodic hooks
• Editing, layering, and re-amping through a high-end studio chain
Over the last two decades, I’ve worked across pop, indie, jazz, R&B, latin, cinematic, and singer-songwriter projects with a variety of GRAMMY-nominated and -winning artists. My background as a professional musician means I approach each track musically and technically — crafting parts that fit the emotional and sonic identity of the song.
Clients hire me for:
• Fully polished guitar stems (clean, wet/dry, and/or effects-heavy)
• Imaginative textures and sound design you won’t get from stock libraries
• Fast turnaround and tight communication
• A collaborative approach that elevates your vision, not overrides it
Whether you need intimate acoustic lines, detailed stereo effects, warm rhythmic layers, or lead guitar that carries real emotional weight, I can deliver professional, mix-ready tracks that integrate seamlessly into your production.
Let’s build something great.

Endorse Marc LeGrand1 Reviews

Marc LeGrand produced my debut, self-titled record Girl Love in 2023. I sent him stems of an acoustic guitar and a vocal track and he sculpted the record’s soundscape with an atmospheric blend of lush strings and bold electric guitar choices. His choices softened the sweet moments and hardened the dynamic ones, ultimately emphasizing the meaning of the lyrics in a way listeners notice.
Having worked with Marc on several projects over the last 8 years I can say Marc LeGrand uses his top of the line gear, talent, and attitude to deliver a client focused experience and make beautiful music.
Interview with Marc LeGrand
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. I love analog tools for tone and character, and digital tools for precision and flexibility. What matters most is choosing the right tool for the musical goal.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Clear communication, fast turnaround, and parts that genuinely serve the song. I won’t overplay, overproduce, or waste your time.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Come in with references, a rough emotional goal, and openness to collaboration. You don’t need everything figured out — clarity about what you don’t want is often just as helpful.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Expressive, intentional, and modern. I value feel over flash and detail over density — whether I’m playing a single acoustic line or building layered stereo textures.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work primarily on pop, indie, singer-songwriter, R&B, cinematic, and jazz-adjacent projects. Most of my work lives at the intersection of emotional songwriting and modern production.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is translating emotional intent into sound. I’m especially strong at finding guitar parts and textures that feel inevitable — parts that enhance a track without drawing attention away from the core idea.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring clarity, intention, and emotional focus. Rather than filling space, I listen for what the song actually needs and build parts that support its arc — whether that’s restraint, movement, or texture. My goal is always to serve the song first.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start by understanding the artist’s vision, references, and timeline. From there I record multiple options — clean, effected, and alternate passes — and deliver organized, mix-ready stems. I’m fast, communicative, and happy to revise until it feels right.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work out of a fully equipped home studio with high-end microphones, boutique guitars, stereo reamping, analog synths, and professional monitoring. The setup allows me to deliver polished, production-ready results quickly without sacrificing detail.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most clients hire me for session guitar recording and production support. I record expressive electric and acoustic guitar parts, cinematic textures, and stereo layers that integrate seamlessly into modern productions. I also help shape arrangements and sound design when a track needs depth or direction.
