Melodic guitarist specializing in cinematic, progressive, and emotional instrumentals. Tension-chord arpeggios and expressive leads are my signature sound. Let’s create something unique and powerful together.
I am Gleam, a guitarist and composer blending hard rock, progressive rock, and fusion into cinematic, emotionally charged music. My signature is tension chord arpeggios that sing, creating vivid landscapes and conveying stories without words.
From soaring riffs to delicate, atmospheric arpeggios, I bring precision, clarity, and cinematic depth to every note, evoking “divinity after darkness.”

Interview with Gleam
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I’m especially proud of a self-produced progressive rock album where I composed, arranged, and performed all guitar parts. The project captures the “divinity after darkness” I strive to express, blending rich harmonies, tension chords, and cinematic storytelling.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I’m currently composing and recording new progressive and jazz-influenced tracks, focusing on expressive guitar tones, rich arrangements, and cinematic storytelling.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I highly respect other talented musicians and producers on SoundBetter. While I often work independently, I would recommend collaborators whose work matches the client’s vision and quality standards.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I use a hybrid approach, combining analog gear for warm, expressive guitar tones with digital tools for precision and flexibility in recording and production. This allows me to capture emotion while maintaining clarity.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is to bring precision, emotion, and a story-driven touch to every project. I commit to respecting the client’s vision while adding depth, clarity, and expressive guitar and arrangements.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What I love most is turning ideas and emotions into music that tells a story. Every project lets me explore new sounds and express feelings through guitar, arrangements, and production.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Clients often ask about my guitar tone, workflow, and how I can adapt to their vision. I explain my approach: I focus on expressive, story-driven guitar, clear arrangements, and close collaboration to bring their ideas to life.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception is that I only play guitar. In reality, I contribute arrangements, composition, and production, shaping the full emotional and cinematic impact of a track.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask about the client’s vision, style, references, and desired emotions to ensure my work fits their project perfectly.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Communicate your vision clearly and don’t hesitate to share references or ideas. A collaborative approach allows me to bring your project to life with expressive guitar, detailed arrangements, and emotional depth.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I’d take my Jazzmaster (bridge pickup), tortoiseshell pick, clean amp, chorus, and delay (~360 ms) to capture my signature expressive guitar tone anywhere.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I began as a hard rock and jazz-influenced guitarist, gradually shaping my sound into progressive, cinematic music. Over the years, I’ve developed a unique voice through composition, arrangement, and recording. I’ve been creating music for many years, continuously refining my style and storytelling approach.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I play progressive rock and jazz-influenced music with expressive guitar, rich harmonies, and cinematic, story-driven arrangements.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with artists who explore progressive, cinematic, or jazz-influenced music, as I am inspired by storytelling through complex harmonies and expressive guitar tones. Collaborating with such artists would push my creativity and bring new emotional depth to my work.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: One tip I always follow is to focus on clarity and space in the mix—each instrument, especially guitar, should have its own place to shine and convey emotion.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on progressive rock, jazz-infused music, and cinematic compositions that blend technical complexity with emotional depth.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is crafting expressive, cinematic guitar parts and arrangements that elevate a song’s emotion and impact.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring expressive guitar tones, rich harmonies, and cinematic arrangements that add depth, emotion, and a story-driven dimension to each song.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start by understanding the client’s vision, then create guitar parts, arrangements, and tracks with attention to tone and emotion. I iterate with feedback, refining every detail until the music fully expresses the intended story.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in a home studio optimized for guitar-driven progressive and jazz music. I use a Jazzmaster bridge pickup with a tortoiseshell pick for clear, articulate tones, enhanced by light chorus and delay, along with high-quality recording and production gear to capture every nuance.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by progressive and jazz musicians who blend technical mastery with emotional depth. Artists like Gleam’s own influences, alongside innovative producers, motivate me to explore rich harmonies, expressive tones, and cinematic arrangements.I am inspired by progressive and jazz musicians who blend technical mastery with emotional depth.
