Interview with Weteado
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Clean, classic
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: The drum sound is the most important thing for me. A good snare drum, with a balance of attack and body, and a well-crafted overhead cymbal as a key part of the drum sound. As for the bass, the only thing that matters is the rhythm, always in direct relation to the song's rhythm.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, Rock
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Customer communication. Good work environment and great audio quality
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Sound quality. Respect for the client's vision. Understanding the song's structure and working from there. The bass line respecting the other elements of the song. Understanding the different parts of the song, the chorus, the verse.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Whatever the case may be, I receive what the client sends me (song, demo, musical idea), whether it's to produce a bass line or do a mix. The first thing I do is listen to it several times and analyze the audio. Then, I have direct contact with the client, we talk about what they want and what they need for the song. We brainstorm ideas, define objectives, and determine where they want to take the sound. Once everything is clear and defined, I start the recording or mixing process. I send previews so the client can hear the progress.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Cubase 15- Arturia audio interfase Tascam audio interfase Tascam audio monitors Fender jazz bass and precision Mixing with earphones Audiotechnica ath-m50
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Flea, Mark king, Jaco Pastorius, Mark Ronson
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I love to play bass and recording basslines for artists. Besides, to produce music since a little idea, a little beat, to build the structure... And then make it organic, in the mix and master
