I focus on Pop/R&B/Hip-Hop production/songwriting. I release my own music in the stated genres but I have also produced for local artists around my area ranging from rap to even some cinematic music. I like to blend many different genres into my works (particularly the genres listed above) but will also still produce/compose/sing in any genre.
My name is David Himes, I'm a singer/songwriter & producer from Omaha Nebraska. I've always had a passion for countless aspects of music, whether that's the composition side of it, the production/mixing side of it, or even just listening to and admiring the finished works of others. I've been singing for over 13 years, I've been producing for about 6 years, I've been writing and releasing my own music for about 5 years, I've been playing different instruments for about 2 1/2 years, and I've been recording those instruments in my own works for about 1 1/2 years.
My primary service is production/mixing but I am willing to do vocals (though no swearing), and help with songwriting/composition. Regarding instruments I can play acoustic guitar, bass guitar, electric guitar, piano, keyboard, synthesizer, and a little bit of drums. I will mention that I able to but am not the best at reading sheet music, but because of that I have gotten very efficient at arranging and playing by ear. My prices are as follows,
Track Production - $25 - $50 (will vary depending on song duration; contact for more info)
Composition/Songwriting - $25
Instrument part - $25
Vocals - $25 - $50 (will vary depending on the type of vocal; lead vocals, background vocals; harmonies; etc.; contact for more info)
Vocal Track Tuning - $20

Interview with David Himes
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I take inspiration from countless producers and their sounds in a wide range of genres; when I listen to music of any kind I listen for production techniques and stylish effects that appeal to me. Some recurring inspirations include Cirkut, BloodPop, Evan Blair, Charlie Puth, Mike Dean, D'Mile, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Max Martin, Bruno Mars, OPN, and many others.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: One of the best things about music is that there isn't a way it's supposed to sound. Make every track sound the way YOU want, don't try to replicate the sound of other artists (to an extent; there's a line that can be drawn between inspiration and imitation). If you strive for your own sound, the finished work is going to sound better.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Music is one of the most genuine ways to express yourself; so every artist should strive for their own unique sound. When I work on any sort of project I always trust my gut with every decision. I can't ever see myself giving less than 100% because if music isn't genuine and personal to each artist, then it becomes inauthentic and lacks character.

I was the Lead vocalist (on the intro, both choruses, and immediately after the first chorus), Songwriter, Producer, and Mastering Engineer in this production
