Alessandro Dri is a drummer, musician, and drum teacher, born in the province of Udine in 1979. With over twenty years of experience teaching in various music schools in his region, Alessandro has built a solid career in music education. His journey began at the Dante Agostini School and was enriched through studies with renowned drummers such as Andrea Fontana, Giorgio Di Tullio, Ricky Roma, Mauro Gherardi, and Iarin Munari.
He has also participated in educational events with internationally acclaimed artists, including Benny Greb, Oli Rubow, and Stephane Emig, further expanding his technical and musical knowledge. In addition to teaching, Alessandro is actively involved in live performances and studio recordings. He has his own personal studio, where he records drums, experiments with sounds, and often collaborates remotely with Italian and international musicians.
Although not formally trained as a composer, Alessandro enjoys writing music and has created drum loops and instrumental tracks available on various digital platforms. He is also the author of a drum instructional video method, accessible on the Music Home Lab platform (musichomelab.it). His passion for music and teaching makes him a versatile and respected figure in the music industry.

Interview with Alessandro Dri
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I play mainly Ds Drum (Italian handcraft drums), Murat Diril and Metheran cymbals, and I'm endorsed by Facus Drum Innovations (Italian drumsticks). I use Shure, Audix and Beyerdynamic mics.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm recording the upcoming Ep of my project: Revolt.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: They would be three: kick, snare and hi hat!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been teaching drums for more than twenty years and have been collaborating with various artists and bands in my career. Live and in the studio I am comfortable with Blues, Pop, Rock, Reggae, Funk and Electro (play acoustically).

A: Sting
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Listen carefully the song, get inspired by the lyrics or the other instruments. Put yourself in!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, Blues, Electro.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My creativity, personal taste without loosing the writer's goal.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When I receive the files I start thinking about what arrangement can be used for the song. Later I can send a preview of my idea and start the most important part that is the dialogue with the author. The main goal is to satisfy the author to have a great song! In the end I go on with the final recording, I can provide more versions to choose from.
