Interview with Jhol Bagueiro
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I can make it dance working complete in a "in the box" system. So... for me, always digital!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My type of art is a symetric kind of art!
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Chris Brown is that type of artist that every mixer would like to mix one day. Jacquees also is a big name that i would like to work
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more! Easy like that! Be simple and creative!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on a bunch of types and genres, but the one type that a like the most is the R&B! Trap is a genre that i also like very much to work on
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Punch and consistency low end! A nice track for me need that nice consistency and credibility low end so it can hit you hard in the chest!!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I can bring to a song a lot of character an clarity, also as punch and moviments. For me, every project needs to bacome a history, almost like a movie, where things come and go every section so the listener can get stuck at the emotion that i bring to the track
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I always begin with the drums processing. Once i hit then realy hard and punch, a move into the vocals, which for me is the most important thing in any track. After i get those in a nice place together, a can build little by little the scenario behind.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio setup is a 100% In The Box. I always liked to keep it simple. Nothing more than a Mac and a nice interface like the Lynx Hillo 2 into my PMC6-2 Speakers. Anything else is carring inside the DAW, wher's the magic happens.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Professionals like Teezio, Jaycen Joshua, Josh Gudwin, Dave Pensado and many others inspired me every day to become a better mixer engieer.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work that i do for my clients its a nice and fast delivery of an emotional mix that inhances any demo into a giant radio- ready track!
