Interview with Nick diCicco
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! Each has its pros and cons so why not try and get a bit of both? Sometimes the best tool for the job may have originally been designed for a different task.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I hope that you're bringing something that you're proud and excited about. Probably no one ever: "Im not enthusiastic about this and/or it doesn't sound good so let's make a it a hit."
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I think the important things are that every project has what makes it unique and remember to make sure that I represent and reinforce what there in good faith.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: With the amount i travel i don't get to take much more than a 14u rack. but some mainstays are the dual stereo lexicon units and the 500 series rack for preamps and compressors. Neve 5045 are love
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Recording a performance, either a live show or music video, then taking it to post for mixing, and release. This also sometimes co-insides with me mixing for the venue or livestream at the same time.
