Interview with OG-RYAN-BEATZ

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I recently produced a custom beat for an upcoming rapper that completely transformed his sound. I handled the composition, drums, arrangement, and mixing — and it became one of his strongest tracks.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: A new beat pack for artists and several custom beats for clients.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Currently exploring the platform and discovering new talent.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital. It gives me flexibility, speed, unlimited creative tools, and perfect recall.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I’ll always deliver quality work, communicate clearly, and make sure you’re satisfied with the final product.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Hearing an artist come alive on a beat I created — turning ideas into something real and powerful.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: “How fast can you deliver?” Usually within 1–3 days depending on the project.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: People think making a beat is just dragging loops. Quality production takes skill, balance, creativity, and years of practice.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What mood/emotion do you want? Any reference songs? What tempo or genre? Do you want a custom beat or full production?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Know the vibe you’re aiming for, bring reference tracks, and be open to creative collaboration. A clear vision makes the final product stronger.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Laptop, FL Studio, midi keyboard, studio headphones, and external hard drive with my sounds.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I started producing as a teenager, experimenting with sounds and learning FL Studio. Over the years I’ve worked on hundreds of beats for local artists, constantly improving and shaping my sound.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Melodic, emotional, modern, with deep bass and crisp drums. I blend simplicity with impact to create beats that stand out.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I’d love to work with any talented artist or songwriter

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Always leave space in your mix. Simplicity and clean frequency separation make a beat sound professional and leave room for vocals.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Hip-Hop, Trap, Drill, R&B, and AfroSoul.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Creating catchy melodies and hard-hitting drum patterns that instantly inspire artists.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: Emotion, groove, clean sound design, and modern drum bounce. I help artists find their unique style and bring life to their lyrics.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I start by understanding the artist’s vision, references, and emotion they want. Then I build the melody, drums, arrange the structure, mix the beat, and send drafts for feedback until the track is perfect.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: My studio is built around FL Studio 21, high-quality monitoring, a midi keyboard for composing melodies, and professional mixing/mastering plugins. Everything is designed for clean workflow and high output.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I’m inspired by producers like Metro Boomin, 40, Timbaland, and South African creatives like Nasty C’s production team. Their sound design, emotion, and creativity push me forward.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I create custom beats, full productions, and help artists shape their songs with arrangement and creative direction. I also enhance their tracks with clean mixing and polished final touches.
