Juani on SoundBetter

I play creative guitar. I have been playing guitar for over 15 years and producing music professionaly for 6 years. The genres I specialize in are rock, metal and EDM, always focusing on a modern sound.

I will play guitar for you!

I'm a guitarrist from Argentina with over 16 years of experience playing the instrument. I want to help you enhance your songs by creating awesome and creative riffs and solos, just tell me what you need and I will get it done!

A key part of my workflow is sending updates before delivering the project to show you what I'm doing and get your opinion and feedback. That way we work together to get exactly what you're looking for.

I can cover a wide range of genres, including Trap, Metal, Rock, Pop, Blues, Synthwave, Indie, Dreampop and more!

Currently, the options for guitar I offer are:

-6 string electric guitar

-7 string electric guitar (with floyd rose)

-6 string acoustic guitar

-6 string classical guitar

-12 string acoustic guitar

I can also make TABS and things such as audio editing and producing, as well as instrumentals and beats.

All questions and messages are welcome. Let's do it!

Interview with Juani

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I have worked on mamy projects, but one that stands out is XEN, an upcoming videogame for which I composed a large part of the soundtrack. Finding unique motifs and chord progressions for different elements was a great experience.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Right now, I am freelancing, so I'm working on several things at once. I'm working on Xen, an upcoming videogame where I'm in charge of the music, several different albums where I record the guitars, a pack of guitars with 50 samples and more. As for my personal music, I'm finishing my debut album, a concept album with 14 songs and I regularly upload special content to Youtube and Tiktok.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I'm new to Soundbetter, so I am not familiar with anyone yet. I look forward to meeting awesome artists!

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital it is for me. I think at this point, there is virtually no perceptible difference. The downside that digital once had, which were poor emulation and bad quality are now at a stage where that is no more. The advantages that digital has over analog are too big not to go for it (the amount of plugins, the sounds you can create). Most of all, Digital implies not taking any physical space, making your setup much easier to transport.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: My promise is not doing things in auto-pilot, but creating all pieces by hand, taking into consideration what I think is best to do for each individual track. Just like homemade food is always better than fast food, the same applies to my job.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Making music is what I love the most, so it's as close to a dream job as it can be.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Costumers mostly ask me for advice on how to approach the guitars for their songs. They want to know where to put the solo, how long to make it, how to approach rhythm guitars, etc. My answer changes from project to project, depending on the music!

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: People don't take into account how much time it takes to learn the instrument and then learn to be able to produce a full song, let alone making it sound good. It's a combination of different fields when it comes to playing and producing. So I would say the biggest misconception is that "it's just recording music" when in reality there is so much more.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: Going back to the last question, I ask what their goal is. I also ask how they like to work, so I can adjust to their needs. Lastly, something I frequently ask is for reference, should they have any, of the sound they want.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: I would advice sharing their goal with me! It's really important to know what they want to accomplish before starting to change songs.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Assuming there is no source of electricity, I would take my acoustic. I would, just in case, take one electric guitar, my audio interface and my PC as well. In the off-chance I get power somewhere, I would be able to record. Lasly, I would take my analog amp. If I get into trouble, the only possibility of contacting radio would be through that!

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: Ever since I can remember I have alwasy had a great connection with music. I used to have a toy guitar when I was around 5 and my dad also owned a real guitar, which was my first connection to the real thing. When I was 11 I got my first and quickly got obsessed with learning all I could. Later on, at 16 I started uploading videos and creating my own music. When I was 21, I started profesionally recording and creating what was the start of my formal carrer. I started my freelancing career when I was 23 and now, at 27, I have worked with countless people from all over the world.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: I would describe my style as incisive. I have my own sound and always try to bring the best out of it depending on what I'm playing.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: My dream collaboration would undoubtably be with Slash, he is the reason I became a guitarrist when I was a kid.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Don't record while your mastering effects are on!

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I usually work on Rock, Metal, EDM and Synthwave, most of the time aiming towards a mordern guitar sound.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest skill is composing original music, specifically guitar arrangements and pieces. I like to go for the unexpected and surprising.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I can bring power, comfort and everything in between. My goal is to enhance every project and keep professionalism at the highest level.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: My typical work process involves discussing the buyer's main motivation and end goal. That gives me a good idea of how to head into each project. I also like to send updates for them to hear and give me feedback and opinion, then keep working based on that.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I use a Gibson Les Paul 59' Tribute, Schecter Blackjack ATX 7 with Floyd Rose, Fender Acoustic guitar, Epiphone DR212 (12 string) and classical guitar. I use a UA Volt 176 audio interface as I record digitally. As for amps, I usually use Bias FX II and Neural DSP.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I am influenced by countless artists! I come from a background of rock, including artists like Led Zeppelin, Gun's N' Roses and Alice in Chains. Nowadays, I gravitate towards modern metal like Spiritbox, Sleep Token and Invent, Animate. Also, I am inspired by modern guitar-driven artists like Polyphia, Ichika, Mateus Asato and Unprocessed.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I record guitars of any kind, including wet, dry and DI stems on every delivery. I have completed over 650 orders as a freelancer and now I look to embark on a new journey on Soundbetter.
