Interview with Eduardo

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: One of the projects I’m most proud of is Elefante Guerrero Psíquico Ancestral, an instrumental rock-fusion band I founded in Argentina. We create music that challenges traditional structures and embraces artistic freedom, combining heavy grooves, improvisation, and cinematic soundscapes. I composed the music, arranged the guitar parts, and performed on both of our studio albums, as well as in more than 350 live shows. What makes this project special is that it grew in a country where independent and experimental music is difficult to sustain, yet we built a strong audience through creativity, authenticity, and perseverance. The band also explores visual identity and immersive musical experiences, giving listeners not only songs, but a complete artistic universe.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I’m currently working on new original music, as well as exploring the possibility of joining a new contract with cruise lines.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I am totally new at this platform.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Both. Analog brings warmth, character, and an organic response — it has proven to work exceptionally well for decades. Digital, on the other hand, offers flexibility, convenience, and access to a wide range of high-quality sounds and tools with just a click.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I promise to deliver high-quality guitar work that serves the song first — with great tone, feel, and musical intention. I’m committed to clear communication, meeting deadlines, and collaborating to achieve the best possible result. Your music becomes my priority, and I’ll go the extra mile to make sure you’re happy with the final product.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: What I love most about my job is the ability to connect with others through music. Creating guitar parts that bring a song to life — whether in the studio or live — is deeply fulfilling. I enjoy the challenge of finding the right sound, melody, or texture that enhances a track and adds emotional meaning. There’s something magical about turning an idea into music and seeing how it resonates with people. I also appreciate that this work keeps me constantly learning, exploring new styles, and growing as an artist.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Clients often ask things like: “Can you match the style/tone of this reference?” Absolutely — I can adapt to many styles and use reference tracks to guide tone, feel, and arrangement. “How long will it take?” Most projects are completed within a few days, depending on complexity. I always discuss timelines in advance to make sure we’re aligned. “Can you make revisions?” Yes — I’m happy to adjust parts, tone, or performance to help achieve the best result for the song. “What files do you deliver?” I typically deliver high-quality WAV stems (wet or dry), but I can provide any format requested.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: One of the biggest misconceptions is that recording guitar parts is quick and effortless. In reality, creating the right performance — tone, feel, and interpretation — requires time, attention, and musical sensitivity. It’s not just about playing notes, but making choices that elevate the song. Another misconception is that “any guitar sound works.” Finding the right tone, arrangement, and groove is a creative process that can completely change the impact of a track.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: I usually ask a few key questions to understand the musical direction and expectations: Do you have a reference track or artist in mind for the style or tone? What is the role of the guitar in the song — lead, rhythm, textures, solo, etc.? Are there any specific ideas, melodies, or arrangements you want included? What is the desired mood or emotion of the track? Do you have notes about tone (clean, crunchy, high-gain), effects, or gear preferences? What is your deadline and delivery format? These help ensure that we’re aligned and allow me to deliver exactly what the project needs.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Make sure you have a clear musical vision, or at least a reference for the sound you’re looking for — it helps guide the creative process and ensures we’re aligned from the start. Share any ideas, influences, or examples that inspire you; communication is key to achieving the best result. Also, stay open to collaboration — sometimes the unexpected idea becomes the most exciting part of the track.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: - i would tkae, am acoustic guitar (nylon) also a

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I’ve been playing guitar professionally for over 15 years. My musical journey began in conservatory, where I studied harmony and guitar, and continued through various seminars and private mentorships with top international musicians. Since then, I’ve developed a versatile career as a live performer, session guitarist, composer, and educator. I led my own fusion/rock band, recording two studio albums and performing more than 350 shows. I worked as the main guitarist on Carnival Cruise Line, playing both in the Rock Band and production shows. In parallel, I’ve collaborated with many artists in the studio, contributing guitar tracks in a wide range of genres — from jazz and funk to metal and world music — both independently and through freelance platforms. This mix of education, studio experience, and live performance has shaped me into a flexible musician who can adapt creatively to any musical context.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: My style blends groove, expression, and versatility. I combine elements of rock, funk, fusion, jazz, and world music, always focused on serving the song with melody and feel. I enjoy moving between clean rhythmic textures, expressive melodic lines, and heavier, energetic tones — creating parts that add personality and emotion without getting in the way of the music.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I would love to jam with Guthrie Govan. He is the best

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Always focus on serving the song: choose tones and parts that support the groove, melody, and emotion instead of overplaying. Simplicity and intention often create a stronger impact than complexity.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: funk , rock, and metal, and sonme jazz

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest skill is composing and recording expressive guitar parts that enhance the emotional and musical identity of a song.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring personality, musical storytelling, and fresh creative ideas. With my guitar work, I help build or expand the sonic world of a song — adding emotion, texture, and movement. Whether the track needs subtle atmosphere, rhythmic support, or expressive lead lines, I contribute parts that elevate the song while staying true to the artist’s vision.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: My workflow depends on the project. If I’m composing new guitar parts, I start by listening carefully to the song, learning its structure, and experimenting with ideas until I find lines that feel natural and meaningful. If the part is already written, I focus on performing it as accurately and musically as possible, exploring different tones and textures to deliver the best possible result.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: My studio setup is designed to deliver high-quality guitar recording and production. I work on both PC (Pro Tools) and Mac (Logic Pro), using a Focusrite Scarlett interface, various dynamic and condenser mics, and a versatile collection of electric and acoustic guitars. I record through real amps, cabs, and a wide selection of plugins, giving me the flexibility to achieve everything from clean, soulful tones to high-gain and experimental textures.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I draw inspiration from a wide range of artists across genres. Rock & Alternative: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Kyuss, Metallica, alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Megadeath Fusion & Virtuoso Guitar: Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Guthrie Govan, Casiopea, Ynwie Malmsteen, John norum Funk & Soul: James Brown, Earth, Wind & Fire, Jamiroquai Pop & Contemporary: Bruno Mars, soda Estereo, Fito Paez, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Jazz, a lot! Their musicality, sound exploration, groove, and emotional expression continually shape my approach as a guitarist and composer.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I record, compose, and perform professional guitar parts across styles such as rock, funk, jazz, and fusion — delivering anything from clean tones to high-gain leads, with a wide range of effects and textures to fit each project.
