Brooklyn Saint on SoundBetter

Emanuel & Shareef present: Brooklyn_Saint. A fresh, fearless duo blending Rap, House, RnB, Soul, and Jazz into a seamless fusion that takes you from intimate ballads to foot-stomping grooves. With a love for original music and a fresh approach rooted in a shared musical journey, Brooklyn Saint delivers a sound that’s both contemporary and timeless.

Brooklyn Saint is a dynamic duo composed of Shareef Keyes and Emanuel Harrold. Shareef, a Brooklyn native, is a vocalist influenced by icons like Janelle Monáe, Marvin Gaye, A Tribe Called Quest, Biggie Smalls, James Brown, and George Clinton. These legends have shaped his songwriting, from Gaye's harmonies to Brown's energy and Monáe's immersive worlds. Emanuel, from Saint Louis, captivates audiences with his dynamic, polyrhythmic sound, drawing influence from Max Roach, Roy Haynes, Quincy Jones, De La Soul, and more. He thrives on performing original music and connecting with his audience through rhythm, lyrics, and emotion.

The duo first connected during the pandemic, collaborating on "See," a track from Emanuel’s album that garnered 75K streams and Grammy consideration. Their success continued with sold-out shows at St. Louis' City Winery and a headlining spot at the Fest of Nations Music Festival.

This momentum inspired Brooklyn Saint to create a full-length album blending house, soul, and jazz. The album features guest artists like Masego, Omari Hardwick, and Stout, and showcases the duo’s unique collaborative process—Emanuel producing the music while Shareef writes the songs. Set for release in 2025, the album promises to deliver soul, storytelling, and a rich musical experience.
