Interview with Matias (Waves Of Synergy)

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: All the projects are unique and incredible to me, but one I remember because I had so much fun making it is an instrumental song called THE PUNISHER for a client in the United States. I had to create and record all the lead guitar parts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-e-BSKpz2o

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I do this for a living, I offer my services as a professional session guitarist and I also give courses and classes in sound and guitar.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I honestly don't know if I wouldn't gladly recommend it.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: More digital than analog because it is more dynamic and portable

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: My promise is always to deliver an amazing performance and elevate the level of the song.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Create, record, and add to the music always!

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: The question I get asked most often is, how long will it take me to do my work, and my answer is, as long as the song needs, and usually it's just a few days because, as I said before, I connect very deeply with music, and I have no shortage of resources and tools.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: The biggest misconception is seeing work as something you have to do quickly to get paid sooner, because that's when you lose touch with the song. While it's always important to respect schedules and deadlines, it's also crucial to connect with the song so that it turns out amazing.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: I generally like to listen to them freely so I can understand and connect with their music and their song, and be able to properly address the need for the work. I ask technical details such as what resolution and format they would like me to send it to them in.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: My advice is to go for it. We'll really work well together, and you'll be glad you did. My clients have always been happy with my work.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Guitar, Computer, Audio Interface, Monitors and Guitar Processor.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I started playing guitar at a very young age and have been making music for 28 years, and as a music producer for 15 years.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: My style is sentimental and I am a great seeker of perfectionism.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I wouldn't be a specific artist, but I would love to work in the metal scene where I could express all my knowledge and feelings, and I would feel fantastic. I could also learn a great deal.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Yes, I believe the healthiest approach is to listen deeply to the song and let yourself be carried away by it, because if you connect with it, the songs speak to you. This requires many years of experience and study as a musician and music producer.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Metal (Heavy metal, Power Metal, Progressive Metal, Trash Metal and all subgenres). Rock, Pop, Electronic Combining electric guitars.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My creativity combined with my ability to play my guitar and create unique and extraordinary pieces.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I contribute unique guitars using techniques I've honed over 25 years, delivering high quality and an extraordinary feel that elevates the song to a whole new level.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I receive a demo or song from the client, listen to it, and select a guitar track. I then create a specific guitar audio track for the project. Next, I create the corresponding guitar parts and record them with excellent performance and the best possible quality, or the specific quality the client desires. I then export the recording in .WAV format and send it to them. (Other formats are also available.)
