I'm a pitchfork reviewed, internationally touring rock drummer with killer feel, a creative and collaborative vibe and hundreds of hours in the studio.
I've legitimately been playing drums since I was four years old - drumming is my life. I’ve spent the last 25 years chasing that perfect take on tour, in studios, and on stages across the world. My playing’s landed on Pitchfork-reviewed records and shaped everything from gritty cinematic indie rock, shoegaze, to larger than life hardcore. I’m all about vibe, groove, and making songs breathing, living things. If you want a drummer who listens, and brings your track to life, I’m your man.

I've worked with Ben on a few different projects now. I can honestly say he's one of the best drummers I've ever had the pleasure of working with. He brings his best on every track, and can come up with parts I'd never create on my own. His passion is heavier music and thrives in that environment, but a few projects I've worked on with him have been very stripped back (think acoustic guitars, vocals, and percussion), and he has managed to make every song I've thrown at him with grace.
Interview with Ben Scott
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That drumming is just "the beat". I like to think, humbly I might add, that we drummers bring the heart, soul, and energy to every song.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I got my first kit at four years old, played my first show at eight. So roughly twenty six years!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: passionate, driving, in the pocket and energetic
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Creativity and feel
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Energy, heart, breath and momentum
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like listen to songs on repeat with a pad in front of me. I've been at it so long I can visualize and hear the different pieces of the kit i'll be hitting when playing along on a pad
