Osvi on SoundBetter

Composer and producer merging classical precision with modern production technique, creating authentic, emotionally honest music that feels alive.

Hi, I’m Osvi: a composer, producer, and overall sound explorer. I grew up fascinated by how a single sound could hold a whole story. From an abandoned piano at school to programming tones on a computer just to see what they’d say back. That same curiosity is what drives me to this day.

My background in classical composition meets the precision of modern production, and I specialize in:

-Mixing and spatial mixing (Dolby Atmos certified), immersive, three-dimensional sound
-Crafting and arranging textures that blur the lines between acoustic and electronic
-Producing music that feels alive, detailed, and emotionally honest

I like to think of each project as its own little world that's looking for the right balance of structure and chaos, warmth and clarity, experiment and craft. My job is to find that balance, work on it until it's perfect, and press the bounce button.

If you’re looking for someone who treats music as both an art and a science, or someone who loves to listen the notes and the silence between them, I’m your man.

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

Interview with Osvi

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: Yes.

  3. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  4. A: I'm the opposite of a night owl, which makes gigging harder.

  5. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  6. A: An acoustic guitar, a microphone, a small USB interface, my laptop and a solar power generator.

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: As the unholy child of a 70's prog-rocker and a very uncool businessperson.

  9. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  10. A: Open-back headphones aren't bad for monitoring while singing. You should try them!

  11. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  12. A: Finding ideas!

  13. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  14. A: Ears to listen and hands to play. I won't impose my vision for a song; I'll try to unveil what the song is asking for.

  15. Q: What's your typical work process?

  16. A: I don't have one! Each song and each piece is a different world completely. Of course I've got certain steps that I do in all of them to ensure quality, but overall, I try to treat each song as its own thing.

  17. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  18. A: I've got two main set ups, one in my home with the Neumann monitors and everything ready all the time, as well as a travel studio with a smaller interface and just my laptop. I like being on the move and my portable setup definitely helps with that.

  19. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  20. A: I think Steven Wilson is my main inspiration for getting into the production world and the immersive audio industry. As a singer-songwriter, my main inspiration is definitely Robin Pecknold from Fleet Foxes, and as classical composer, Esa-Pekka Salonen.

  21. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  22. A: The most common thing is definitely mixing, but other than that, there have been lots of arrangements, some performing, and some full productions. I've also written and co-written lots of songs over the years.
