(Korean/English) Catchy and smooth R&B, Pop, and Hip-Hop songwriter with creative lyricism
Hi, my name is Brian, aka B.Kim, and I'm an artist, singer-songwriter, and producer for 10 years! I'm very R&B inspired; however, I have written songs in other styles within Pop, Hip-Hop, Ballads, Acoustic, House, and Reggaeton so far. I also mix Korean in my writing as well!
I am known to provide smooth, memorable, and feel-good melodies. My thing is that every section of the song should aim to be a moment or a hook. And lyrically, I enjoy writing metaphorically often and being as creative as I can, depending on the theme of the song.
When I sing in a stronger and higher style, I've been told I have similar vibes to Bruno Mars and Crush. When in a softer style, I'd get similar vibes to Justin Bieber, Pink Sweats, and Jay Park.

Interview with B.Kim
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Working on getting clients. But personally, I am making my own music, aiming for an EP soon.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will take my time to make sure I get everything that was needed and provide a clean and quality outcome to make sure you love it!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I'm a pretty easy-going and straightforward guys so as long as you're clear with your needs, I gotchu.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: 2016 was when I decided to take music seriously and taught myself more about songwriting and production. I started out making music with a couple of friends, and we ended up making and releasing a 13-song project. In 2019, I decided to create music for myself and have since released over 20 singles, all produced and written me. Now I hope to not only release my own music more but also help with songwriting and create the best music with others.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: smooth, soulful, catchy, with a combination of modern R&B sounds.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: As of now, Keshi, because I really admire his songwriting. He's always able to bring in a certain feel and emotion within his music, and I think I can really learn from the way he creates his sounds and writes his songs.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more, don't overcomplicate things.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: R&B and second would be Pop and Hip-Hop. I have expanded more to other genres as well, like house, synth-pop, reggaeton, acoustic, and more. Always open to working on anything!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Songwriting and creating moments within it
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I'm all about making sure the song feels good. I try my best not to complicate things and showcase sounds and melodies that are smooth. At the same time, I enjoy challenging myself to come up with lyrics that are more creative. I love to be metaphorical and usually try to minimize any general or repetitive words and sayings.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Usually in songwriting, once I have the beat or at least the baseline of the beat down, I'd freestyle melodies to figure out what the main melody could be. I'd also be saying gibberish or random words within it, but generally aim for phonations that sound good. And then I'd fill in the words.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Boyz II Men is the reason why I fell in love with R&B. Other artists like Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Miguel, Kanye, Jon Bellion, and Keshi have been big inspirations of mine. On the Korean side, I'd have to say Jay Park, Crush, Dean, Zion-T, and Ph-1. Many more other artists, but these are the ones on the top of my head right now.
