Mora Fiszbajn on SoundBetter

My songs have been featured in international TV shows and films on Disney+, Amazon Prime, and Netflix. I’m a songwriter, composer, and lyricist with experience in projects such as Siempre Fui Yo (Disney+), Nahir (Amazon Prime), Envidiosa (Netflix), and Soy Luna (Disney+)

Music has been my passion since I was 12 years old, when I first started writing songs. For me, songwriting is not just about melody and lyrics—it’s about telling stories, sharing emotions, and creating connections that touch people’s hearts.

I am an Argentinian songwriter, composer, and lyricist, fluent in both Spanish and English. While my main focus is Spanish-language pop and Latin urban music, I also enjoy writing in English and I’m always open to collaborating with artists from around the world.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of composing and writing for various audiovisual projects, some of which are still to be released, and others already available worldwide. My songs have been featured in productions such as Siempre Fui Yo (Disney+), Nahir (Amazon Prime), Envidiosa (Netflix), and Soy Luna (Disney+). Each project has been an incredible opportunity to bring stories to life through music.

Beyond composing for others, I’m also a recording artist myself, with a full album of original songs that reflect my own artistic voice. Whether I’m writing for film, TV, or my own music, I always bring creativity, authenticity, and deep love for what I do.

Interview with Mora Fiszbajn

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: The project I'm most proud of is my own album, called Sinestesia, since it touches on personal themes that are meaningful to me, and I also tell a story of a romantic relationship through all the songs. It's a conceptual album, so that makes me feel really proud.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I recently finished working on an audiovisual project for a platform that’s still confidential, so I can’t say much about it. I did the entire soundtrack, which means I wrote around eight songs that will be part of the series since it’s a musical and the lead character has to sing all the songs.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I don't know any other artists working on this platform yet, so I can't recommend anyone right now. However, I hope that as I grow and meet new artists, I'll be able to expand my network and recommend this platform to more people.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: My promise to my clients is to treat their project as if it were my own and really do the best I can to make sure the final product turns out exactly as they envision it.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: What I love most about my job is being able to express all my emotions and tell stories through my lyrics. I think it's a very cathartic experience, and being able to dedicate myself to something that's been my passion since I was little is a pleasure and a privilege.

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: What my clients usually ask me is if I have the ability to write in both Spanish and English, and the answer is yes. I'm bilingual, having had English training from a young age at a bilingual school, and I also consume a lot of media in English. So, I can compose in both Spanish and English. They also ask if I can expand into other musical genres, and the answer is yes.

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: The biggest misconception about what I do is that you can't make a living from music. But it seems to me that nowadays, with all the social media and platforms out there, anyone can make a career out of it with hard work. Based on my experience, I've been doing it since I was 18, and it's definitely possible.

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: As an artist myself, making my own music, I can deeply empathize with artists who come to me for help. So, I'd ask them what they want to convey with their song and try to find a way for us to create the best possible product together.

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: The advice I'd give to a client looking to hire someone to make their music is to think carefully about what they want to convey through their art. If they're looking to create music with a deep message that's raw, sincere, and speaks from the heart, then I think they can achieve that with me.

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: If I could take five things to a desert island to make my music, I would take a notebook, a pen, a computer, a microphone, and a lot of creativity. And I think nowadays, with enough willpower and dedication, anyone can make music - we don't need a big studio to do it. Just dedication.

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: I've been doing this since I was 12 years old. Throughout my adolescence, I wrote different songs and, with the help of my parents, I was able to produce them. When I turned 18, I started working professionally, composing and releasing my own album titled "Sinestesia". From that moment on, I've also been composing songs for audiovisual projects on various international platforms.

  23. Q: How would you describe your style?

  24. A: I consider my composing style to be honest, sensitive, vulnerable, direct, and profound.

  25. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  26. A: I think the artist I'd most love to work with is Taylor Swift. She's the artist I draw the most inspiration from, and I consider her greatest strength to be her writing and ability to craft so many songs with incredible storytelling. I think that's where I relate to her the most, and I'd love to work with her in a writer's room in the future, it’s my biggest dream.

  27. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  28. A: The biggest tip I can give is about consistency and persistence. I write songs every day, starting from when I was 12 years old, and that's why I've been able to develop a skill in writing that allows me to dedicate myself to this and work effectively.

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: The music I usually work with is pop music in all its variants, whether it's pop rock, indie pop, alternative pop, or ballads. I'm also heavily into the Latin urban genre and draw a lot of inspiration from artists like María Becerra, Emilia, and Karol G, who are global references in Latin music.

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: I think my greatest strength when it comes to writing is the consistency and speed at which I do it. I've even managed to write an entire album in just ten days.

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: I think what I bring to a song is a big dose of vulnerability and honesty, which makes the song feel very personal and allows the artist to communicate what they want in a genuine way.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: My way of working is based on first composing all the melodies. I have a folder full of original melodies that I've created. Then, depending on what the client asks for, I tell an innovative and honest story, putting myself in the shoes of different characters, and doing what is requested. I also often work with bases that my clients send me, and from there, I write the melody and lyrics on top of it.

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: Since my work typically involves writing lyrics and melodies, I don't have a large studio at my disposal. However, I have enough resources to record a demo and edit it on my computer with a professional microphone, and then send it in a good format.

  39. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  40. A: The artists who inspire me the most are Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Chappell Roan. As for Latin music, I'm heavily inspired by María Becerra, Emilia, and Kali Uchis.

  41. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  42. A: The work I usually do is writing the melody and lyrics of the song, according to what the client asks me to do. I adjust and adapt to tell the story that they want to tell.
