Hi there, my name is Becky Burraway and I am a professional classically trained Mezzo-Soprano. My training allows me to perform in many different styles of music including Opera/Classical/Choral, Jazz, Pop, Musical Theatre and Retro/Vintage. I adapt my technique in order to provide the specific and unique sound you envision on your track. Please find descriptions below of my approaches to each style:

My speciality and most of my training is in Opera and Classical performance where I can tailor my technique to suit your track. For example, if you want something 'epic' I can provide more Operatic vocals with more vibrato. Likewise, I can tone the vibrato down. My sound is very deep and powerful, however I am also able to tailor my dynamics to provide a softer approach.

Jazz and Pop

I adapt my technique to take off the operatic 'edge'. Therefore, this approach uses more chest voice and a much more soulful/blues sound with deep timbre. I am also able to improvise over your track if required. For a more retro/vintage jazz sound, I can approach this with more vibrato and classical feel.

Musical Theatre

Depending on your vision, I can approach this with Classical Technique or alternatively speak-singing technique and vocal belting for the higher notes.

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.
